i must be too stoned, but here it goes:

You did tap the lid prior to opening to keep the magic in, right? How much lighter were you talkin bout?

If they are air sealed and fully dry they shouldn't. if they still have moisture in them, the condensation could collect in the jar therefore making the buds weigh less. But they shouldn't weigh much less at all if they were already pretty dry before putting them in the jars.
