Ok this is my first grow and wondering when do i start to flush?

what's your medium?
what kind of nutes you using?
general rule is the last couple of weeks. with organic soil you don't really need to flush just water with clean water the last week or 2.

I personally don't flush, I don't think its good for plants.

you know how if you suddenly stopped eating you would retain alot of fat because your body knew you were in trouble so it wanted to keep reserves?

well plants do the same thing, if you flush a week or ten days before harvest aside from washing all the nutes out you'll freak out the plant, and it'll retain its form of nourishment. not fat but minerals. nitrogen, phosphorous, etc. and that'll stay in your buds when you smoke it. alot rougher.

I personally just plan ahead and let my plants eat all their nutes over the last 3 weeks. its a gradual starving that they know death is coming and they start to finish up. when you do it abruptly the plant just doesn't know whats going on. besides even when you do flush it takes the plant up to 3 weeks to use the nutes it already has, the same way if you stop smoking you'll still have thc in your system for a while.

what flushing at the end of flowering does is forces the plant to burn the nutes its already stored, which helps improve the taste. plants like humans store extra nutrients that they intake.

simple man: you can probably get by with just giving your plants clean water the last couple of weeks of flowering with promix and tiger bloom.

well normally when people say flush they mean to run 4x the amount of water as the pot size. thats what I thought he meant. that stresses plants and I don't do it.

just watering with plain water for the last 3 weeks is perfect. don't put them through a flooding.

wow motac no flush.. must have sum black ash non smokable joints.. lol rilly thow.. Plan ahead I always do... If I no my plant wont be growing in 2 more weeks id start fulshing now...

I find if you go to a grow shop a buy a flushin AGENT... it helps LOTS... i duno what it is but it seems to hel pthe flush out 100%... iv had plant side by side befor and flushed with tasp water and tap water+flushing agent... I was shocked at the diffrents. you cant just chop it down without flushing... in the case you dont flush. should have just choped bud of along the way when u didnt have smoke...

It seems thiers 2 ways to flush? One is to use just water the last 1 1/2 or 2 weeks, or two is to pour a shitload of water into the plant the last days. I just taper off the nutes towards the end of flowering to just water and mollases. I'm in somewhat of organic. PBP G and B, Hi P Bat shit in a peat mix. I agree not to be Noah and let the plant do it's thing.

thats how your supposed to do it

the plants eat all the nutes up on its own. there is no need to flush. and it takes 3 weeks for all nutes to be eaten by the plant.
