Lets see if I can grow some cali deep chunk
I must say, impressive seedlings.. nice stout looking, beautifull color. My shitty photoskills do not do em justice. Very even too.
Got 5 going but im very tempted to put the other 5 in right away.. They sure look like a true IBL to seed with..

Hey Dread... Nice babies you have there! If room permits, as i do not know much about your growing environment, you should start the rest of those beans and choose your parents so you can make more seed for future use. Just a thought, because you already mentioned it earlier. I personally, am one for starting as many seeds as possible of one strain to select certain standout individuals.
I see in your gallery you have the Hill Temple Haze too. Right on bro! I am interested in seeing how those grow out for you, so can you please document the grow here so we can all view what HTC Haze will be like? I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks! Peace and good growing, Tric Here is some Deep Chunk i will be starting in the upcoming weeks. Hope you enjoy! |

Just put the next 5 chunks in a wet towel after a night of soaking in water...
Yes! I want to do a seed batch of these babies since I cannot get more, so I do need to select from all I got... funny seeds, almost white, no stripe, very big. Shouts "Indica!" So there will be two batches about a week apart. I have not much space, so the HT Hazes have to wait. Possibly they get a change in 8/9 weeks orso. Ill keep posting about them once a week orso. The plan will be to give them 4/5 weeks of veg, clone, flower the originals, pick the best fems, hopefully find a nice male, and seed the best mum+male.

Chunkie grows bigger
While behind in height compared to the MOD F1's, and the Sagamartha's mystery mix the DC's are shure wide and healthy:
The second batch of 5 just popped (4/5) and are buried in seedsoil. That would be a boring pic eh? So heres the vegspace... eagerly awaiting them turn in da bloom boom room.... so the chunkies can claim their grown up status and move to direct HPS light. And a bigger pot! this is about 80cm by 1m, say 3 by 4 ft. Flower space is double that (2 600's) its 16 headcount now, with estimated 12 left after sexing. This batch probably wont breed. But I have clones of everything...

those ibl's grow SLOW AS HELL. got some plants that were planted w/ the deep chunk, and they are already 8 -10" tall and the dc's are WAY behind! i was about to scrap the dc's cuz they couldn't hold more than 2 sets of leaves at a clip w/out younger ones falling off. but alas they are finally kicking into 1st gear! LOL i hear they are worth it tho so i'll rough it out.

bad news :(
Short update, the 5 seedlings are doing very well, but I had a stroke of stupid..
I managed to kill the 2nd batch of 5 seeds, after 4 days under the soil, it did not show there heads, so I dug em up, and sure enough, 4 empty shells and some puddle of slime.. well I was cramped for space anyway... but a shame of the seeds. One fucksup, one learns.. and one forgets again.. What happened aws likely a way to wet medium, I had switched from my original (plagron) stuff to another (jongkind). I use Jongkind soil for cuttings fine.. I must have not pressed enough water out.. Ok, well pictures later, the 5 original DC's are fine.. 5 fingered is showing, the same time MOD en SAG mixes are 7 fingered and thus one node ahead by now.
