what is the point of a grow licenses if you don't have a place to live let alone grow.

Also, just because YOU as a landlord say no, doesn't mean Tribunal can't over turn it for legitimate medical right or any thing they find unjust in your stipulations can also be struck. AGAIN only on medical basis.

if the tenant is a douchebag and known to be a douchebag ya give him no quarter. But Please don't paint all as dregs of society, atleast conceded you occasionally hear of the good tenant that doesn't fuck your shit up, if you haven't atleast encountered one yourself.
No ones a "dreg of society" haha.

Talk to me when you owe $300,000 on a half million dollar liability that is in the care of a steady stream of strangers.

Id like to say no landlord would ever say yes if a tenant asked to grow, but Im sure there is a VERY small percentage that would. To me, its just unnecessary risk from a business and financial standpoint and would be a stupid move for no reason.

on new leases, but it can be challenged for legit medical right. there has already been a precident made in BC and ontario IIRC

you cannot add a new stipulation to old leases, you can only add it to your new leases, and hope current tenants will sign a new lease with new stipulation.

government isn't exactly making it easy on the Landlord + tenant general relationship. Its starting to be clear that my experiences as a tenant and witnessing other tenants are truly an outlier and i've just been lucky and fortunate.

Yes you can. You can technically put anything in a lease you want. I am going to start making it a special clause that the have to initial off on. This was never that big of a deal in the past because I could spot a grower a mile away. Wanting to see the basement first thing, sneaking a look at the electrical panel, filling a water bottle for testing, ect.

With new regulations giving everyone the right grow, I will make it very clear its not acceptable.

An easy way to scare them off is to tell them you will be having people come to service the HVAC every 3 months for filter changes ect. They will find somewhere else.

Very common thing. As soon as our want to be gardener has their script they start to look for investors. Imagine the possibilities how can you lose?

Why would you invest in a "want to be" gardener who most likely has no experience with large grows, or they would have money. Also this is ACMPR so they will be selling it illegally. Thats an extremely high risk investment and somewhat foolish. They would have to first prove their growing skills, strains, and most importantly distribution. Then you need to consider the fact everything is up in the air with prices and they seem to be consistently falling. Theres a million ways to invest excess cash, this is one of the worst haha. Would YOU invest into that?

To follow that, if someone were so inclined to drop 20k on this "investment", whats another 2k for the licence? If you going to throw your money away you might as well go all in.

My comment was for the average gardener who thinks they have a shot at getting rich with a high g per day script.

The "how can you lose" was sarcastic but the rest is fact, there are many folks some even with good intentions that go the "set me up and I will make you a fortune" route.

I just couldnt see anyone investing into them? Why would anyone invest into some black market grow when you could just buy shares of a legit LP, if investing in weed was what you wanted to put your money in.
