i live in a small village (15 people, all related except 4 of us!) in the middle of nowhere in the uk. i've been growing at this property for 4 yrs. i thought nobody knew but yesterday my friend at the hydro shop told me he'd just been talking to my next-door neighbour (an old acquaintance of his). neighbour said that his neighbour - i.e. me - grew pot. his ma in law found it last summer when she was looking after our cats. she was gonna phone the police (her own son is a copper!) but one of her daughters thankfully persuaded her that it wasn't a big deal and she left it. but everyone knows i grow weed.

i've expanded my grow lately and am at 3kw flowering. i've invested a great amount of time, money, etc setting up my rooms and learning to grow. i'm just getting my grow off the ground and have 50 plants in flower at the moment and about 100 in veg. three weeks to go on 30 plants, a month and a half on the other 20. i've recently spent a load on seeds which are now germinating, and i've got a good-looking grow on.

so - they've known i've grown for a year and have done nothing about it. do i continue? do i chop it all down? do i move? my family and i love living where we do but i am scared now, and suspect that the fear will not go away completely?! or am i paranoid~?: dear people please offer some advice for a brother in distress!

(i've also got an o'kief tumbler coming to this address, and i scared about them looking at that too. am i just getting it all out of proportion cos the realisation that they know is so recent?! gibber...)

Man, quick kick for being so silly as to give someone the keys to your house with a grow in it , now that's out of the way, is the copper a relative too? Man 150 plants in the uk is serious jail time, no fines there. The prob as I see it is if the neighbour sees it as not a problem, it is likely to crop up in conversation at some point, and since if they realised it is a big deal, their instinct is to call the police, then yes I would say you havee a problem to worry about. The fact that it's been a year since they found out, does go in your favour, although since it is still being talked about, and spread around, it is only a matter of time before the wrong person hears about it. I think at some point you should expect a vissit from the boys in blue. If you are determined to continue to grow, then I would scale it back to 10 plants or less, that way if you do get a vissit, it will be a fine in court rather than a sentence.

Take a couple deep breaths, I think everything will be alright. You should talk with the neighbors and if they take issue with outdoor propagation, perhaps restrict your endeavors to the nice growroom you have created. Let them think that everything is done with, and if you have to, tell them what a mistake it was and how you learned a lesson (WHICH IS TO BETTER HIDE THE PLANTS NEXT TIME.) You sound like a nice guy. I wouldnt freak out if I were you. They have known for a long time. There must be a solid relationship, which is something even the most honest of people have a hard time breaking. Maybe do a run or two and move, but no matter what, make sure you remember than the money wasted on beans isnt worth risking jailtime. Good luck, play it safe brother...

Another thought is, if you wanted to be sure, you could always tear it down, clean the house totally, and drop a dime ( as they say) on yourself. Let them raid you , find nothing and go away. That way if someone else reports you, they will look it up on their system and find that they have already checked out that rumour and found it to be false.

Well since they have known about it a year already I doubt anything is going to set them off. I wouldnt be flashing any cash around as that will spark jealousy/resentment and they might change their mind then.

well its been a coupla days now and ive been riding the paranoia train. i looked deep inside myself and consulted with some valuable friends apart from yourselves. i looked at my plants and saw more than chlorophyll - there was love there and i cant rid myself of that. the plants stay. ill trust in god and my fellow man, grow trees. when it feels wrong ill stop, but i am a grower and am prepared to fall if necessary. the knowledge and passion cant be stopped. i apologise for the lack of apostrophes in this post - my compewter wouldnt let me. thank you so much everyone for your advice. it gonna be finish this crop, grow trees, keep going till the filth show up, then face the music, move, and do it all over again. live it up!

Make sure that when your neigbors need help you are there for them. Make yourself an asset to the comunity so when they think of you it isn't "oh ya, he has a cannabis grow", but rather " oh ya, he is a stand up guy that will help you if he can". Show these people that, just because you use cannabis doesn't make you a bad person.

Id move em to a new location pronto, even if no1 grasses you, u can guarantee it will get back to some wannabe gangster chav prick who will come with some buddies(probably all white but talk like ali g too) to try and tax u-happens all the time-i havent grown for 6 months because of a silly sod of a grow partner (Im never having another partner,BELIEVE THAT) who was blabbing and bragging apparently and some scum came to tax him, they tied him up and took his percy-they didnt find the grow-nor did the pigs who broke in after the neighbour rang em but that was only through pure luck and the fact that the grow wasnt accessed from inside the house. Anyway my off topic story is to demonstrate that the pigs arent the only fuckers you dont want hearing about ur garden, theres always some chav prick who fancies himself as a standover man, and i dont care who you are, or who you think u r in terms of being "Hard", no1 can fight 4 blokes with bats and blades(or possibly a gun ).
So please be safe mate-many a bust has happened after a robbery of this nature...... If u cant or dont wanna move, then make a big show of quitting to all those who u know that deffo know about ur garden, then just keep a small percy grow for a while and build back up on the total quiet.....still best to ship out completely if u ask me tho.
