Anyone Play Poker?
I'm a pretty avid player, a few close friends and I have a game every week. Never for anything too high stakes, mainly for fun. I've also taken to playing on Bodog, however am lenient to actually put real money into it. I have a complete distrust for technology and the many ways third parties can manipulate it.
With that being said I don't know of the security implications however I'd love to play some 'free' hands with some fellow ICmaggers. If anyone actually think getting some games together would be fun send me a PM and we can try and work something out.

Sounds like a good time. I've played on party poker mostly, but also recently got on absolute poker, playing real money. I lost my ass, but the fake money games are definitely fun. The time difference where i live makes it pretty hard to get a game going with some of you guys, but poker is definitely fun. Back in Texas, me and some of my buddies would sit around, smoke and play dominos..and sometimes poker. good times indeed.

I just watched episode 13 of high stakes poker last night along with the 3rd and 4th hr of the 2006 main event... on hsp its great they extended season 2, two extra episodes.. also its coming back for season 3, i hear they are already started filming.. reminds me they started filming season 2 after 1 finished so this is exciting... this show could go on forever and have many many seasons... and thus like life spawning other shows like it, cuzz you gotta admit there is nothing that comes close to it on television, i'd like to be proven wrong on this though.
i dont know if poker is a good game for me, i tend to do fairly good but im ultra aggressive, i usually go into situations in a better than 50percent lead... but seem to get drawn out on alot... because i would usually put someone all in if i think they have a flush draw. one so they have to pay a huge amount to see 2 more cards... and also you cant forget your favored 62-66 percent to have the best hand after the river. ive played about 6 times live in a small sit n go tournament style setting... mostly hold em with a little bit of omaha and 7 card, usually small cash game afterwards. never gambled online, but i did have 7 mil in play money before one a site. when i start working my new job i plan on entering some tournaments, 50 dollar is about all i will spend on a entry fee right now... my goal is to some day move to vegas and while im there win a bracelet at the world series... my top 3 favorite players 1. ted forrest 2. mike matusow (even though hes like 600k in debt from gambling losses lool) 3. tie between marcel luske and phil lakk... there is my dream table, me and those 4 playing together day after day while puffin on some high grade chronic and staying at the bellagio with my girl...that would be a dream come true... |

^^^Aye it's a silly dream, but one day I'd like to walk away from Vegas with a nice shiny bracelet. Of course for that to happen I have to convince my wife that the $10,000 entrance fee isn't a waste of money...hrm.
I gotta say my favorite player of all time was Stu Unger, he really was incredible. It's too bad he wasted so much of his talent on stupid things like cocaine.

imagine winning a bracelet, actually certifying yourself in the poker community... sitting amongst the elite... imagine hooking up with them to smoke fat blunts of the stank a dank in a suite at the bellagio and talking about poker all day long... i like very much being in a room full of "heads", listening to others points of view in life,... poker is definately a game that coincides with the game of life.. discipline, self-control, knowing "people", among other things... you gotta be on top of your personal life before you sit down at a nl hold em table

I love to play poker. I play in two regular games a week where I live. I would be interested in playing on-line with fellow ICMaggers.
