dont make the mistake of thinking the temp u set ur heat mat too is the temp of the extract often it needs to be set higher in vac chambers set up lik that and if its big and metal and ambient temps r low it would need to be quite a bit higher. another thing i realized the hard way and still see people do sometimes is putting the extract in the vac oven without full contact to the surface being heated or put an insulator lik thick teflon/oilslick pads between the heat source and the extract. heat doesn't travel in a vacuum oven lik a regular oven and if u forget that u could turn ur heating pad up to 11 and never get it purged fully. i recommend a ir touchless thermometer but its just a ball park and graywolf is right as usual the best temp is the temp where the viscosity is low enough for the solvent vapors to escape easily and that can very different for different specific extraction parameters and starting material. and if ur going for stable shatter ur gonna be purging way more then butane. which is why i dont recommend worrying about what it comes out lik cause forcing something super terpy to shatter is gonna lower its quality and still wont always work. just purge thoroughly till butanes gone and enjoy. or go down the rabbit hole of further purification
