BC Warlock x C99
Cannacopia BC Warlock x C99 from Breeders Retail
4 seeds set off gave 4 very uniform plants with one being female. Harvested after 56 days of 12/12. Smells of over ripe tropical fruit with a musty/skunk undertone. |

Thanks everyone.
Its only just harvested so i don't know what the yield is or the type of high it produces. It was only in 4L of coco (1 US Gallon) so it may do much better in a big pot with a longer veg time. I would guess its probably a medium yielder because although there are lots of buds they do not feel really heavy though they are quite dense. The BC Warlock did grab my attention but i know very little about it. I have not seen a pic of it yet online. Brteeders Retail posted that it was a bit like Superskunk. I have grown out a couple of packs of Sensi Seeds Superskunk in the mid to late 90's and i would say that the structure of the BC Warlock x C99 that i have here does remind me of the way the old Superskunk grew, with lots of budsites and profuse amounts of small hard nuggets along with a short flowering period. The smell however is nothing like how i remember Superskunk. I am thinking this plant leans towards the C99 in its scent. I was so impressed with this plant by mid flower that i got a pack of the Warlock x Blockhead to look through in the summer. I can see that being a good yielder. The Cannacopia C99 selections do look very interesting. I currently have 2 unsexed plants of the Jack Herer x C99 that i should have finished pics of by the end of May if i manage to get a female. I also have a pack of the Bubba x C99 that i received as a freebie on one of my orders. Thanks Breeders Retail!!!! Here is another quick shot pre harvest. |

Hi Slab,
I would say Warlock was more like a recombination of Skunk/Afghan genetics rather than Super Skunk. Even though on paper both are documented as having Skunk and Afghani heritage, I doubt the breeding process was similar or the genetics the same pedigree. As far as I know Gerrit worked Skunk by crossing one gene pool into another before choosing his mother's and crossing to an old school select Afghan pollen donor. I did have a little conversation about warlock with him quite a few years ago over email and I think that's what he said although don't quote me. That's why I'd probably lean more to classifying Warlock to be more a Skunk/Afghan rather than land it with Sensi's Super Skunk. As for the BC Warlock, it's definitely a select cut of that line and I have no idea about its traits specifically except it's very strong. For sure the fruit side come from the C99 and probably made rotten by the warlock. Lovely pictures you have there, she looks juicy and a staple kind of variety if ever I've seen one. Enjoy.

Thanks for the info Breeders Retail.
So the BC Warlock is a selection of the Magus Genetics variety. Excellent! I am very much looking forward to going through the Warlock x Blockhead seeds now. |
