Please have a look, is this magnesium deficient?

First run with coco and my plants are not looking 100%

Botanicare Cocogro
Lucas 8/16
Epsom 1g per gallon every feeding
Big Bud 1.7g per gallon every other feeding
Molasses unsulfured 5ml per gallon once a week

ph 5.9-6.1
Tap 50-100 ppm
PPM 800-900
Feeding every water
10% runoff

Some leaves are turning pale. Veins are darker. Lower growth yellowing.

water one till runoff and check the ppm of the runoff. mine were doing all kinds of funky shit from some bad coco. once properly flushed and reset they boomed back. i am having cal/mag issues and am slowly raising my ph to around low 6's from 5.8 to get them closer to the cal/mag uptake range

I can tell you one thing for sure...if you are using 8/16 with a g of epsom 1.7g Big bud and molasses you’re over 800-900 ppm. 6/9 alone in ro is around 730ppm. Head revised the Lucas formula for coco. It’s 6/9. .8 - 1.0 ec in veg and 1.0 -1.4 ec in flower. Looking at your pics it looks and sounds like you’re locking out K for sure

I’m assuming with full strength nutrients and not ph’d water. Correct?

I think we’re on different conversions. 1.6-1.7 ec according to my bluelab truncheon meter. Why are you sure about locking out potassium?

Thanks

Measure your drain/runoff. This will tell you quite a bit

Thats Mg hunger... dont flush cause you will flush N also,

feed normaly but add secondary Mg,S and micro nutes, add little apple cider to low PH
of feed, add vitamin C or ascorbic acid,1 gram per 5 gallon..

they will bounce back to greener state..

Ok so the results for the runoff is in.

ph 6.1
ec 3.6

My ec meter only goes up to 3.6 so its possible to be over 3.6 ec.

Im considering flushing with the H3ad's Coco 6/9 formula to drop the EC but I'd rather stick with my current 8/16 at 1.6-1.7 EC. Is this too strong for coco? This is GG4 btw and has always been a heavy feeder for me the last few runs in tupur.

ec of 3.6 ? that would be my first thing to look at. may not be burning much but it will definitely upset the balance in the medium...

you have salt buildup in your medium probably from dry cycles. how long do you go between feeds? if youre goin to run dry cycles you will need to flush on a regular basis or else the buildup will lockout the uptake. if you want to eliminate this need you have to keep the coco wet enough constantly to not allow the salts to buildup in the medium.
