I did use those shitty terminals.I crimped em as tight as possible and taped em for extra precaution.I used 6/3 solid copper/50 amp breaker.I did think the screws were the culprit, but no they were super tight.

So idont know do you guys see something that needs to be corrected?.I have older Titans that have been working flawlessly ,i have one connected using an 8/3 range plug connected to a 50 amp outlet with no issues so far.Again not sure if its those terminals or not but there has to be a different way to connect those wires.I have a Helios 12 that you run your wires straight thru a screw,i dont see why they had to use terminals on this model...Maybe use a ground lug between the wire and the controller????

BTW instructions call for you to tighten screwsevery 60 to 90 days which is ridiculous.

So the answer is to have one built by an electrician then?

This news about titan is discouraging.

Are auto pilots any better?

https://hydrofarm.com/p/APCL4DX

Looks similar to the c.a.p. version.

This was built for two rooms, 8 ballast, 16 lights, overkill a little.

That’s something i’ve been looking into doing ,except have the outlets spread around the room closer to ballasts.Wish there was a more detailed DIY info on this out there.

If you want to mount the receptacles in the room, use some armored cable or better yet conduit.

Will any electrician know how to build that by looking at your picture or does he need to see inside it?

What is overkill?

What doesn't need to be there?

I won't need flip capabilities, just 6 lights off and on.

I was days away from buying one from Titan or Hydrofarm(auto pilot).

Nervous about going that route now.

Just need the same loadcenter, Siemens EQL4100, 4 spaces, ideal for a 4, 6, or 8 lights.

Wouldn’t something like this work better instead of those terminals?
