Foundation is king!

What are some of your favorite strains for mothers and for fathers and why? (I.e. Bubba , because of flower structure/ downside is it totally dominates just about any cross. SourBubble for cutting flowering time down ect. Looking for a strain to add frost without dominating, the white will do it but really ruins the taste, maybe white widow? Just recieved a bunch of 9 lb. Hammer pollen that I'm going to play around with, any experience with that specific strain out there? Thanx in advance. I love this place!

Sorry I can't help with real world experience, but...

I've heard White (Black) Widow males tend to pass on frost and bud structure while otherwise being transparent in a cross. That's why I bought a couple packs of Joey Weed White Widow f2, so I can chuck some pollen at the females I have, but I haven't popped em yet...I also have high hopes for the males from JW AK47f2 and NL...

The MK-Ultra males I grew nearly ten years ago reliably passed on a bit of their weird smell and gobs of blistering potency, but the seed stock I'm growing now seems different...

From what I've read here at IC, it seems like any well worked, more or less uniform IBL tends to pass on its positive traits in a cross, as the breeder has selectively bred out undesirable (recessive?) traits to some extent. Things get weirder with anything else, like S1s or F1 multi hybrids, and more hunting is required.

But I am no expert, and I look forward to being set straight on this.
