I've been screwing around about placing an order for a week and 1/2. i have the cashier check, envelope and stamps.

i just went to double check availability of the skunk IBL and sunshine IBL. they are all gone.

Howdy

yes, i'm aware of Bub's status. it's tragic. i've checked the boutique every day finalizing my order. there were 5 different strains as of yesterday. now there are none. i'm so bummed.

i appreciate the suggestion of seedbay. i'll have to read up on it. i've never thought of going to one of these auction sites. makes me nervous.

i'm curious what is going on with the breeders(??) who sell there.
i've got great F2's of apollo 13 and cinderella 11 to name a couple. they probably have value, they are defininatly fine strains, but i just picked up the biggest male of each and swung him around the room a couple times. (i was a newb. i won't be doing that again.) i got thousands of seeds. are these guys any better then me? not being a dick, just curious.

i'm mostly concerned about security. i have a "who is seedbay and why would i trust them" type of thing going on. then again i REALLY want those genetics. i was going to breed the cindy 88 (too speedy for me) with it. off to seedbay . thank you! i'm so sorry bubble!

p.s.
i'm at seedbay. unfortunately for me no one has the skunk IBL or the sunshine IBL. i spent so much time debating over my choices. i think i'll just flip a coin and get it over with. later.

Seedbay is an offshoot company of seedboutique. They offer a much wider range of genetics and crosses, and auction them. Nothin to be scared of, works just like boutique.

Breeders work is much more than just swinging the biggest male around the room. It involves growing out many numbers of plants to find the ones with desired characteristics. Several generations are normally involved in an effort to get the seed progeny to have the highest possible level of consistancy of desired plant (and smoke) traits. Most breeders use some sort of breeding strategy, of what crosses will be made, and giving priority to certain traits in selections of breeding individuals.

The seed will be worth the price. However do not be dissapointed if there are a couple individuals that are not completely up to par with some of the others. Genetics is not necessarily like mixing colors. Joining small bits of information (genes) from several plants through biological mechanisms in an effort to get a high percentage of offspring with desired genes.

The seed you made will likely have some really good individuals if the parents were pretty good. There will likely be more variation among your seed versus in bred line (IBL) or F1 Hybrid seed like Bub's.

thanks pipeline. i'm aware of how to breed correctly but you stated it well. i've been around a long time. i bred the bros grimm genetics when mr soul and the great and might shabang were screwing around at laughing moon. the good old days eh?

i was just thinking that these people at seedbay were amatures like me. my bad. it seems that there are many breeder original packs.

knowing it's part of the boutique helps alot. i'm off for a bunch of reading.

and unfortunatly due to legalities and technicals.. there wont be any charity auction at seedbay.

Im glad we still have the HTC forum to discuss in.

unfortunatly, bout all my work was lost, nearly everything.. so whats available, is whats left..
