Material Tube Heating Mats

Does anyone know where I can find these? I remember seeing them back in the day, they were usually orange and made of silicone I believe. People were using them to heat their material columns..

I'd really like to find some.. I'm loosing over 1# a run

We had ours custom made with thermocouple built in by:
Shenzhen Aku Brother Technology Co, LtdShenzhenj, China

Alirubber.com

For the 4" X 36" columns we used (3) 10" X 12" mats hooked tot he same controller.

Besides BVV, heat mats also available at:

Keenovo has a website:

https://www.keenovo.com/solutions/flexible-heaters.html

They also do custom orders at eBay.

The mats are ordered by watts per square inch, if you order too powerful a heater any area that's not fully sunk to what your trying to heat could overheat and burn out the mat. Check out the attached graph, the mats are good up to 450F, a 2.5 watt per square inch can't overheat, a 5 watt per square inch is borderline.

The wire wounds are thick and stiff, I suggest the etched film silicone heaters.

Study up before ordering:

https://www.omega.com/heaters/pdf/SRFR_SRFG.pdf

https://www.omega.com/toc_asp/frames...ro_flexheaters

You don't find silicone heaters for material column heating available at the extraction equipment vendors because they don't want to take responsibility for misuse.
