Hash Plant x Blockhead
Greetings.
![]() I popped half a pack of Hash Plant x Blockhead - really good vigor. Too early to say for sure; but I think I have three girls, one male, and one I can’t make a call on either way. First ever grow with no HID lighting. Sure to be some missteps, but I’ll share what I find. I’m looking for a good-old-fashioned couchlock/knockout stone. Was hoping #1 would be a girl, but early indicators point to male. Be that as it may, nice structure and look to the plant — and nice stem rub. ![]() I’ll be back with pics when flowering gets underway. Group shot: #1:

Looking good, mate!
So are they under LEDs? I've read that Chimera's hashplant has a grapey smell... Should be awesome... Whats the stem rub like? |

Yes. They were started under T5s. Up potted one week ago today (pics are day five) and put under LED. Hard to describe the smell of the stem rub... but it starts off sharp and finishes with a sweeter side coming out. I’ve also read where Chimera said the HP used is rather bland in flavor but Blockhead should impart a more favorable flavor spectrum. Looking forward to what I find in that regard. Quote:
Thanks! I’m also really interested in the BH line, and was really torn between popping these or Medina x Blockhead. I went with HP because in past grows I found hash plant to be rather hardy. Thanks guys for stopping by with positive vibes!

It is fantastic that you are back !
![]() I'm really looking forward to your show. It's interesting to see how the hashplant will show up in this variety. ![]() Good luck! Last edited by c64; 11-26-2017 at 03:13 AM.. |

![]() I’m excited too. Can’t wait to see what I find. Have others going as well, but these five really have my attention.

Awesomeness!
When knuckles grew the Hash Plant x SS he said the smell and taste were pretty good. Hopefully the hashplant will come into its own when hybridised. I think you're going to be enjoying beastly yeilds in a relatively short time no matter what. I predict quite a trim job coming your way That's the problem with old school hash plants, they tend to be leafy. Let's hope the BH kicks out multitudes of flowers to ease the prospect of aching scissor hands.Best of luck

Many thanks, Kal.
I’ll gladly suffer aching scissor hands and forgo terps and flavor if I find the effect I’m after. Any enhancements after that would just be bonus. And from what I see so far, Blockhead is helping to open old school hash plant up. (And what a hash plant #1 looks to be.) #1 is confirmed male. First to break ground out of twenty-four seeds. The others aren’t nearly as tightly structured - although all are within an inch in height. Planned to select a male from a pack of GF x BB and cull all others. Starting to doubt I can bring the blade down on this one... There’s another confirmed male and one female. Two are still holding out. Really hope to get three.

There's something about those tight hash plant types that always fill me with a childish excitement. Some of the first seeds I popped were from a Brothers Grimm mix pack back in the day. Two of them were big tight noded beefy WLD afghan types in structure. Whenever I see pics of wide leafed stocky plants it gives me that 'first grow' excitement. I love the old skool vibes
![]() What you feeding them?

I like the way you said that!
I never left the old skool. This type has long been my preference for its structure stature appearance and stone. Childish excitement is spot on. As soon as #1 started stacking nodes, I was in love. ![]() Hoped for a girl - but I’m fine collecting pollen. Have some Atomic Shiva (NL x Super Skunk x HP) going that could use an injection of vigor... Not to say other girls aren’t hot. Even the taller lankier ones. This one sure is catching my eye. Citra Paradisio: Chimera and BR radiate old skool genetics (and vibes). That’s why I’m here growing these beans — Keeping with the old skool... ![]() Water. With Maxicrop. I’m in a “water only” soil mix. But I must say timelines are all askew, with this LED only veg. So far so good though...
