After about a week the Durban Poison plants are finally starting to grow again. The one on the left right is definitely a female, the one in the middle is likely a female, and the one on the right is most likely the male.
Now that they are settled, I put in the screen and began some training. Still nowhere near ready to take clones off of them. This should start to encourage some lateral growth. |

Before I decided to make some pollen, I chopped this male down to the stump. I've been watering it lightly to keep the soil alive. Yesterday, while watering, I noticed new growth coming from the stump. I shall name him "Stumpy"!

Keep Stumpy going! Make yourself some DP seeds, or else you'll regret it

I took it as a sign to do just that.

The Durban Poison are looking much better. The screen is definitely promoting branching, and they are a much healthier color. I haven't noticed any pre-flowers yet.

What a difference a week makes. The Durban Poison have bounced back. They are quickly filling in the screen. I should take clones and flip them soon, I expect a bit of stretch from these.

You aint kidding. That week has really turned things around for them. Your plants are looking much healthier now. Can't wait to see how they continue to improve.

I know better than to train the screen right after I water, the stems are much more flexible before. I was surprised, however, to see that this one has purple sap!
It was pretty dark, so I dabbed it on a paper towel to see it was indeed purple. I won some seeds off a user on another forum for a picture of red sap not too long ago, but the real prize is seeing it for myself. The picture of red sap was from Dave Coulier who gifted me these seeds. |

Dont you just enjoy surprises? Especially the good ones. Lets hope that purple sap is an indicator of lots of purple buds and foliage later on.
