oh maple leaf indica, or i forgot to mention black tuna. there is herijuana in it if net is correct. but a knock out forsure. bedrocan dutch and canadian medical grower uses herijuana and herijuanax afgan for the bedica strain.
ive found some cbd oral or smoked really helps take off any heart racing which is super helpful. also may have said this but oral or suppository is really a better way to get better sleep! longer acting and after the liver pass man edibles make it hard to do anything but rest. |

So herijuana seems like a good one that keeps getting brought up. Sounds like a real insomnia buster but God is that a terrible name. Any recommendations for breeders of this strain?

So as far as tinctures are concerned, is it really important to use mostly indica plants for sleepiness or does it really not even matter if it is sativa leaning or not since the uptake process is completely different than smoking it?

In a home made decarboxylation you always loose some terpenes and possibly convert THC to CBN if heated too high or too longer, but still, a cerebral sativa hybrid (or pure sativa) plant dercarboxylated will not transform into a couchlock or sleepy effect extract i think unless you loose all the terpenes and degrade a lot of the THC into CBN. You can experiment an extract from sativa leaning plant if its the only strain you have access to, maybe you will find it will do the job for you. personnaly most of the time i only smoke sativa dominant haze hybrids and i sleep like a baby, just a mater of dosage, im still searching a strain with the effect of cocaine ![]() EDIT : in fact i was reading a little more about CBN, im not researching the sedative effect too much in cannabis for myself but i just read CBN is good for insomnia so as CBN comes from degradation of THC maybe it will be interest you. as i said THC degrade to CBN when you decarb too much. again im not a specialist of extraction so maybe what im telling is not totally acurate. here are some links. all the best to you https://skunkpharmresearch.com/decarboxylation/ https://www.leafly.com/news/cannabis...is-cannabinoid

![]() Been looking myself for a great knockout artist. Looking forward to seeing the recommendations. I see Herijuana being brought up a lot and have seen it mentioned a lot in other similar discussions. Tried to get some a couple years ago but it was out of stock. Might have to look around again. I have some Pre-98 that I absolutely love. But it doesn't come anywhere near knocking me out. Have the following started with the hopes of finding that elusive one: Tahoe OG X Afghani Atomic Shiva Hash Plant X Blockhead Best of luck with your search!

Thanks again Gizmo for your time and research. It really is appreciated. The reason I keep mentioning hybrids is because they tend to express vigor and hardiness and it seems like it can be difficult to find something that is entirely indica, or sativa for that matter. It appears many outdoor growers in the north like to have at least a little bit of sativa in with their plants as it can add a bit of mold resistance and strength.
Ideally I would want a tough as nails plant that needed little care, finished early and was disease/mold resistant while still giving the desired effect. From what I've been able to find, hybrids like Canadian strains would work well. Mr. Nice's Shark Shock and NORDLE both are skunk/hybrid based, which would make sense given they are said to perform well at northern latitudes. What I've produced in the past was definitely skunk/hybrid influenced and I only found a fleck of mold on one of the cola buds at the end. Just taking notice to what I'm seeing and trying to weigh out my options and find a balance between what will grow well in my climate and what will produce the desired effect. If my locality was more pot friendly I would do outdoors just for fun and really focus on finding that one magic cut to grow indoors. |
