Anyone used Lab Society's new short path kits?

Hey guys,

I saw these short path distillation kits just came out, and they look interesting.

I was curious if anyone here has used them, and if they are satisfied with it?

Cheers,
Dabbe

Thanks for the reply and nice link, SkyHighLer!

Yeah, they look great to me, and the promise of higher yields in less time seems very interesting, but I'd love to hear someone who used in own lab before pulling the trigger. A buddy of mine saw them @ a convention and said they appeared to be really sturdy and quality in person, but I haven't seen them yet.

They also have some crazy rotary evaporators, but a lot of them are wayyyy outside my price range.

Cheers,
Dabbe

The new systems look great and I have spoke with Lab Society regarding the improvements. The 12L system can be purchased with 34/45mm joints, significantly larger than the previous 24/40mm models, allowing much higher distillation rates. The condensers can also be replaced mid-run to allow clean condensers to be used after volatiles/heads contaminate the first set. I will likely be purchasing one of these units as budget allows.

I think the evaporators aren't original pieces, and obv. some of them are foreign. Some aren't Chinese though, like Heidolph I believe, right? But I'm pretty sure the new SP kits are american made and custom, so I definitely want to check them out.
