Where to get a smaller than 2" submersible water pump?
I'm looking for an electric pump to use with my water barrel, and the holes on the top are only ~2" across (lid is permanently attached). Just need it to get water from the barrel to a bucket to mix with nutes, etc. I haven't been able to locate one anywhere, any suggestions?
In US. I thought about getting an inline pump, but those need to be primed, which is exactly the sort of pain in the butt I'm hoping to avoid. Thanks |

Fish aquarium stores sell them or get one online.
Get a submersible pump and no priming will be required. Mag Drive pumps are great. Google mag drive submersible pump and you'll find lots.

Small aquarium pumps don't have enough head to do what you want. These work great-
https://www.amazon.com/Manual-Siphon.../dp/B0007VYMUQ Once you start the siphon the water continues to flow w/o pumping. You have to open the air vent at the top to make it stop... |

I'd modify they barrel or get a new one that will work with the pump needed.. if u drill a hole in the bottom put a bucket head , ball valve n ur pump remains prime
