Alpha Feminized seeds, what does Alpha mean in particular?

As the subject states. what does "Alpha feminized " seeds mean?

i know what feminized seeds are. but i have never seen any feminized seeds listed before with the term " Alpha " prior to the word feminized.

soo, i was looking around at seeds to feed my addiction, an ran across ethos genetics, his mandarin cookies to be exact. so i got 3 packs an when i got them i then noticed the term " alpha " was used.

i emailed him, an sent a dm on IG a few days back but yet haven't received any response. searched the web will no results...

is he coining a new term? or is it a term describing how the process of obtaining the feminized seeds. whether it be light stress, Colloidal silver, STS, or Gib-acid. or just a new fancy term to throw in front of feminized......

inquiring minds wanna know.

thanks in advance

A lotta times the terms alpha and beta are used to describe how far along things are in the development and testing process. Alpha usually means untested or first run testing where beta means tested or close to the final product.

They'd be charging a lot for untested seeds.... this is Colin of ethos in the blue... he say's he has a patent for it pending....

2nd one he talks about it....

To me he just talks about finding the most homozygous plants from selfing.. The Alpha seems to be as in the term Alpha female (as in the 1, the best etc)

It's the other way around.
Beta versions are for testing, alpha are official release... same as computer software.

In my opinion it's just a marketing trick, all seeds sold should be alpha, no need mentioning.

No it isn't, Alpha comes 1st then Beta. (Beta is usually the test release, Alpha is before this as you'd usually do it internally then go to Beta)

Yeah, it must have different meaning here. I don’t think I’d be labeling something that way if trying to sell to the masses.

or does it mean the seeds take after the original female more so vs the female pollen donor characteristics? maybe bx'd to the female a few times using the same feminizing techniques?

another way of saying bx'd feminized seeds?

first 6 of the mandarin cookies where a little slow once cracked open. could've been my fault....
