[GET MO]

So I really been diggin the 315s in veg and decided to incorporate them into flower. As of now I have 2 gavitas. My flower room is 4 1/2 x 9, I have 2 4x4 trays and a narrow walkway between them. Here are the options im considering...

Option 1:
I already have 2 630 cmh bulbs but Id need a controller in order to use them. So option 1 is get the controller and run 2 630s same as I would the gavitas. I talked to dude at grower house he said this would work well. It would also cut my power consumption down, not sure how it would effect the yields. This would be 1260 watts

Option 2:
Keep gavitas, but turn them down to 600, and put a 315w cycloptic greenbeam right in the middle of the grow room. I like what Ive seen with cycloptics greenbeams and how they disperse light and work well with other lights. This would be 1515 watts.

Which yall think would be more effective and why? Thanks!

What seemed a easy answer turned into a light documentary. To keep it KISS the short version...

Already have the 630s may as well try them out. Least money spent and you should have a good idea what direction to go from there. You could always do a side by side for us...630 vs gavita..hint hint..j/k

A 315 in the middle is going to light the walkway perfectly. It'd be hard to integrate 1 315 in that setup. I do like the cycloptics though, nothing wrong with dropping one in the middle and seeing what does happen. I'd prefer the gavita in the middle with a cycloptic on either end
Not a expert I just light a lot. too much, but not as much as before..I'm pretty satisfied nowadays. My dream grow would be DE + CMH (or mh) and the room built around the light spread. Not so much making a light work in a predetermined space

That is the side by side i been wantin to see, think i might do that this fall when I monocrop, this run gon be a bunch of different strains from seed so wouldnt be accurate.

As far as lighting the path, that path actually fills up pretty good with branches, by the time the run finishes I usually cant see the floor, and kinda duck and push my way through if I gotta get in, so It would prolly help that line fatten up even more, but really I was thinking in the middle because of its dispersion, seems them greenbeams shoot light everywhere.

I did end up ordering the controller tho instead, almost did both actually, but couldnt push myself to cash out for the greenbeam yet. Ima do this round and then maybe then see what things are lookin like. Man IG sure did slow this site down, I used to post somethin like this and have a page full of responses within a few hours, oh well.
