VG, I will for sure report my thoughts but it is worth bearing in mind that after enjoying smoking hash and weed for 30 years i stopped smoking around 5 years ago due to some health issues and have since exclusively used edibles that i make myself.

I can comment on relative potency as i make all my edibles roughly the same dosage across the various strains.
I can also comment on the type and quality of high as i find it much easier to distinguish between the various strains and their unique effects when consuming edibles.

As for feedback on smoking the finished product i would have to ask friends about their impressions which may only result in comments such as "yeah, its pretty strong" or "well, its quite smooth and tasty"
Hopefully i can elicit something more descriptive from them.

thats cool, interesting that you find edibles easier to evaluate.

i struggle myself in being sure about describing the subtle nuances of smell and taste, i sometimes cant quite put my finger on what stuff smells like. i have one friend with a good palate who can come up with some imaginative descriptions a bit like those posh wine tasters on the telly. he is quite useful, but most of my friends dont really 'get it' and look pretty blank when i say this weed smells of pine and that one of coffee lol - to them its just strong weed

speak soon

Great thread - great job! Beautiful plants.

I have a pack of these on the way; and am really looking forward to popping a few.

Thanks for sharing what you found!

I've been trying the buds out in rotation for about a month now ( edibles )
I think its really strong weed. Its getting stronger as it sits in the jars.

My dry bud pics were a bit out of focus so i won't post any up this time as they do not do them justice. I have a second run of the three phenos a week into flower so maybe i can get some better pics from them at the end.

The short one is the strongest of them but not by much. This one feels like there is a weight on top of my head. Eyeballs and forehead both feeling a kind of pressure and weighted sensation. It reminds me of being really stoned on black hash.
With this pheno i get that experience of going randomly off on a thought tangent and then returning to the present unable to remember what it was i was supposed to be doing in the first place. Its the shortest lived high of the three and the fact it yielded the lowest and that i have got a couple more packs to hand means i wont keep hold of this one.

The middle size pheno has retained its smell the best. Its a sweet candy bubba kush smell that is able to remain somewhat intact after the bud is processed into edibles.
This pheno doesn't have that heavy black hash like effect of the short pheno but that is not to say it isn't strong stuff. The high slowly builds up to a good solid hit spread evenly through the head and body. It is strong but i was still able to do things confidently like unplugging the contractor for the ballast and checking inside the casing for loose connections and then plugging it all back in again.

The tall pheno effects are somewhere between the those of the other two. The high is long lasting and it lasts the longest of the three plants. It seems to come in waves. At points i think it might be wearing down a little only to find i feel back at a level i find satisfying just a short while later.
Its the second most potent of the three plants, not that far off the short pheno and is also the largest yielder of the three.
It does seem to have lost a lot of its smell since going into a jar but i have a feeling after a longer cure it will start to show itself again in one way or another.

All three plants stimulated my appetite very noticably, i think every session has ended with the kitchen getting raided.

friends who smoked them said things like, "you can smoke a little in the morning on the way to work without it affecting your day and then ramp it up to excellent effect in the evening."
Another described them as 'belters' and had no preference over any of them, all three being good at "getting you wrecked."
I think even those who don't often say much on strains these days were quietly impressed with them judging by the smile on their faces.
Any who commented on the taste or smell all said the middle size pheno with the sweet bubba like smell was the stand out.

I really like this WR x Pre98BK, its just what i was hoping it would be when i first bought a pack. it will refill the weed jar i reserve for knockout strains, the kind i reach for on those evenings after a hard day. Right now its perfect for these cold and dark winter nights.
Excellent work VG, a total classic.

Really looking forward to what others find and their opinions of the finished buds.

wow slab thanks for following through with those excellent reports!

ive kept hold of the white Rhino clone that i used for this cross, mainly because i am so pleased with the results of the WR x Bubba. i should try a few more crosses with it as it really has bought something to the bubba which is often hard to improve on imo.

have a great christmas and i hope to hear of your further adventures with this gear!

Great thread man. I really like the big yielding one and the description of straight candy from it. Wonder if there are cotton candy phenos to be found like some white rhino.

Excellent thread. I am going to order a pack. Great report on the effects and different pheno's. I too remember the black squidgy hash from back when. Red and yellow seal with gold being best. I have also grown white rhino and love it. Anyway nice one.

Superb report. Sounds like I might find the knockout stone I am hoping for from this cross. Fair to say it’s considerably stronger than the POG x HK you grew? Now I’m really excited to pop a few. I also really like the looks of the medium sized plant.

Great job and thanks a lot for sharing!

Hi VG, i think you should keep a hold of that White Rhino clone, i can imagine a WR x Chemdog being an interesting match. I think White Rhino S1 seeds could generate a lot of interest too.

Thanks 40Amps and skunkfunk, i think this one is definately worth a little of your time and the space in your room.

Shmavis, in my opinion it is a lot stronger than the POG x HK. The POG x HK is something i am enjoying going out to the pub or a live show with. I did this recently with a few friends at a gig in a small club with a late bar and gave them all edibles and everyone had a great time. We even redosed on a few occasions through the night.
The WR x Pre98BK i wouldn't choose for going out socialising, its a lot more mentally relaxing and possibly slightly introspective depending on the person and the pheno from my limited experience with what i have found so far from this strain.
It is subjective though and what one person finds to be good for sleep on an evening another will smoke on the way to work on a morning.
Either way its excellent weed.
