The legal for medical only people need to realize its not going to be recommended for everyone and thats why it should be legal for all and medical so all who need it can use it at their own discretion. Medical so the under 21-year-olds can use it legaly or illegal through rec sales if their medical condition doesn't "qualify" them

Yep, but isn't "recreational use" just another form of "self-medication"? Nice to be under 20% though!

it is funny how phrasing the question skews the results
the 14% that still want it illegal, they're the old stereotypes from nixon's day
the numbers are overwhelming really, what's amazing is how long old pointless law sticks around
but that's not new

A safe link to to the actual source.

This is a sentence I never thought I'd utter, but Jeff Sessions is right about something. Opioid abuse is actually a pretty big problem right about now. Having said that, it's pretty clear he's going to fuck it up by pursuing prison over rehab, then following that up with more draconian shit towards weed.

Crime is at record lows, and drugs are not the cause of most of them, but the one thing this administration knows is that they can fool enough of the people enough of the time if the fiction they sell is more commonly-believed than reality.

The odd thing is, the ones who voted against Cannabis in the poll - are mostly ignorant of the history of the plant.

America's pharmacist's had 3 1/2 primary sources of medication for painkiller and treatment of other malady's ==>

opium extracts
cocaine extracts
cannabis extracts

ephedrine, at some point

And that's what the people of most nations consumed, if they went to a doctor or pharmacist for treatment of an ailment.

until the 1930's.

So people are voting in the poll against Cannabis ... not knowing that their own grandparents most likely consumed it.

I think a lot of medications fall out of favor with American doctors for a very simple reason - the patent has expired, and they bow at the altar of Big Pharma.
