Seedsman Grow Contest Purple Ryder by PersonalProvide
Here we go again! Current grow is winding down so time to get the next round moving! I'm going with the Purple Ryder Auto Fem. After, hopefully all three, germinate I will place them in my spacebucket nursery under 240 watts of LED bulbs.
Start them off in the shot glass for a day or two before placing in paper towel clam shell seems to work well for me. Stay tuned. P.P. |

4 days from seed
Just a little update. 3/3 germinated and were placed into clear Solo cups. Looking healthy and eager to grow early on. Hope that trend continues.

11 Days From Seed
Starting to see the roots spread through the see through plastic cup. I took some shots to show root development.
P.R.1 By far the best production and spread of roots. P.R.2 The smallest root growth and overall growth. You can see the root running down from the "P". P.R.3 Healthy root spread with this one. Not as many showing as in number one, but healthy looking seedling. They all received their heaviest watering yet as I am trying to ensure some of the deeper soil dampened and promote the spread of the roots. Slow going for now. Just letting them do their thing. 18 days from seed
I noticed last week that #2 was showing signs of possible nute burn and throughout this week the other two also started to show signs. This is the first time that F.F.O.F soil has affected any of my seedlings but was aware this could happen. Oh well. I'll adjust next grow. For now my plan is to let them go in the cups, to use up all the soils nutes, for awhile before transplanting. You can see the yellowing on 2 and 3. #1 The least affected of the three. Roots spreading very well. Accumulated around bottom of cup already. #2 I'm not sure if the odd shape to the leaves are from her reaction to the soil or genetic but letting them go because new growth is still green. #3 Mildly affected. Slight yellowing at the tips. From now on I'll look into a more seedling friendly mix in my grows. Till next week. P.P. |

Hi P.P , looking good, healthy strong roots.
I would recommend repotting as early as possible, as I have stunted a few autos and was told it was due to leaving them in small pots too long. All the best

Ok, while it is known that autoflowering do not like transplants & small pots, but I do not think this is the problem, I have run autoflowering with transplants from coffee cups and even some experiment in 1 Liter final pot.. and the problems begin when the plant has a size Double your container. These plants are too young to resent the size of that container, it seems rather a very high mix for this genetics at such a young age, or it could also be a mismatch Ph, but thinking more about the first option perhaps...
