~TEST GROW~
10 ICE Seeds and 10 Skunk Special Seeds from Female Seed

First off, thank you to Female Seeds for choosing me to do a test Grow with the ICE and Skunk Special. I will do my best to do weekly updates through the Grow.

I am in the process of building a new Grow room - 9 600w HPS lights in 18ftx14ft room.

These seeds will be grown in Canna Coco Coir. I will be setting up a DTW drip system and running these plants using Heads 6/9 Formula.

I am hoping to find a couple good keepers and do a big run in the future. For now just hunting for that keeper pheno!

Also Female Seeds was kind enough to throw in a C-99 and a WWxBB seed, just one of each and I will keep track of those 2 plants as well throughout the Grow.

July 4 -

Got my Seeds in Mail

10 ICE
10 Skunk Special
1 C-99
1 WWxBB

Put in shot glasses of water for 24 hours.

July 5

I decided to use the paper towel method with these
Seeds. Pat down 3 sheets of paper towel on a plate, put the seeds on paper towel and dumped the water the seeds were soaking in onto the paper towel then Put three sheets of paper towel on top and folded the paper towel over.

July 7

All 22 beans popped and had little tails poking out

All the seeds had nice long tails -
Transplanted the seeds into small pots of pure canna coco
I filled a spray bottle with distilled water and wet the top layer of coco so the seeds were sitting in damp coco.

July 11

I have been spraying the coco with distilled water (no added nutrients)
Every day or other day depending on how dry the coco is.

The seeds are now all above ground, some showing the first true set of leaves.

I am using a 4' 2 light T5 - the seedlings seemed to be stretching a little more than I wanted so I dropped the light down.

Skunk Special 9/10

I had a little issue with our ferret weaselling down to the basement and getting into the veg tent. I caught the little bastard before he could do too much damage but he managed to kill one of my SS seedlings.

The SS, C-99 and WWxBB seedlings in round pots. Square pots are some other random seeds I had kicking around.

This is the first time I've run Seeds in coco, can anyone give me some advice on when to start feeding nutrients?

I am going to be using RO water - should I just feed them RO water for a while or should I be adding calmag ?

So that gets us up till today - July 13th - I will continue to update this journal weekly.

Hey Phases!

First of all thanks a lot for starting the thread so fast, much appreciated mate.
Secondly, what a great beginning, is looking quite good already, 100% germination is the right way to begin a great grow Even if of the SS left us already because of external reasons, no worries...it can happen

You can add the nutrients after 7-10 days.

It is going to be a fun ride, glad to have the chance to observe you documenting these strains.

Hey Nico, thanks for the tip.
I started feeding them nutrients at 25% strength last night. And actually I think it was perfect timing because they were starting to look a little light despite me foliare feeding them with calmag and superthrive.

Want to thank you again for the chance to run these genetics. Yes the 100% germination rate is a good sign for sure. I am impressed so far.
Too bad the SS is no longer available, I am glad I got this strain before it disappeared for your catalog.

i will have an update shortly. - seedlings were fed and staked last night - everything's looking good..
