You wont really be able to change anything about the hot soil you are right about that. And maybe "get used to" wasnt the right phrase. They will certainly get hardier as they get older, thats what i really meant. As the days pass, you will start to see healthier growth emerge from the apical meristem.
In my experience, if you had a ph problem the girls would be toast by this point, brown and crispy. I might even say that the burn is not very bad, if it hadnt been on the first set of true leaves. Just water a couple times with enough time between that they dry out, and they should be pristine.

Good luck to you ripper! Keep em happy!

pH

I checked my tap water pH today and it's 7.8. I haven't watered the plants for 2 days and I've just watered them now with lowered tap of 6.5 pH. Since it's most likely hot soil, it probably won't change much, but I'm sure it'll help. Here's some pics before I watered them.

Reboot

Here's some pics, got second leaves now. I've started to germinate 2 more, that might replace these two, as SS#1 starts flowering around 20 days, I'm not sure these 2 I have now will be worth the effort. So once these seeds pop I'll put them in some plastic cups with some seedling soil (no nutrients) mixed with some perlite. I'll be adding 7-4-4 nutes after about 2 wks or first signs of deficiency, then 0-6-4 for flowering. Hopefully this will be a better run.

Day 12

So, since I'm gonna restart this grow, with two new seeds. I was just gonna trash the two originals. But, I decided to transplant them into smaller cups with the new seedling soil. Figured it would be interesting to see if they adapt. Well, 2 days in, it's looking better for them now, darker green, and some small branching coming in. Not sure if I've hurt them more in the long run, but it looks better. I'm thinking about using one of these originals to get some pollen from, using CS, to pollinate one of the new seedlings, since their like 12 days apart, and I'll need some seeds for the future.

Ripper are the most recent pics of the orig 2 plants? They are really starting to look healthy. Sometime the best smoke is the plant that got tortured early on... the runts nearly always put a surprised smile on my face. I would let them finish if they were mine... keep up the good work though!

Yes

Hi Baker, yup those are the two originals, they've surprised me too lol. I wouldn't have started two more if I would have known these would be looking better. So now I got 4, which is one or two too many. Short stuff #1 average height is like a foot. So if the scrog works as expected, I think I can manage 3, maybe even 4, doubtful but we'll see. I've seen other PC grows with 4 so it's definitely possible. Gonna be making some homemade colloidal silver next week. I'll post some more pics over the weekend. Thanks Baker for the encouragement.

Quick update: my led light seems to be the big culprit here, it's burning my little ones, might not even have been the initial hot soil. I've had the seedlings pretty close. Dropped them down to bottom of PC for now. Looking at getting a new one soon. My original 2 plants started looking great again possibly because I had them outside for 1 day, brought them back and the yellowing started again. Fuck! Ah, it's a learning experience either way.
