Personally I don't think any of the shops are really that good. Just production grade. Be prepared to drop some cash, rec prices are steap because of taxes. The strains that are reasonable for what you think a legal market should be are junk. Don't get your hopes up too high

Yeah, discretion will allow for a great time. 16th Street has a lot of police and security, you can walk down most other streets without problem. The best places for a walk and puff would be 18th through..20th or so, the ones below 16th are more touristy so have a police presence.

As others have said, the recreational flower isn't great most places. The last dispensary weed I saw was from rare dankness...wasn't bad and was a nice shop, a bit too dry. They don't carry the strains you mentioned though. A friend met the proprietor of native roots at a conference and spoke well of them, haven't tried it out myself. You might want to give leafly or weedmaps a look to see what's around. Kind Love usually has a decent looking selection and has a good reputation, if I were to buy flower in the city that I where I would go.

Just as a heads up, garden of the gods is around a 1.5 hr drive south, would be a pricey uber ride. If you can rent a car it would be considerably cheaper and you could also go through the mountains. That is definitely an excellent place to check out if you can get there.

Edit: if you go to a dispensary and the weed doesn't look good, just leave and go to the next one. You are under no obligation to purchase and if more people did this then they would have to step their quality up.

Edit 2: if you get a car, rocky Mountain national park has way more to do do and see and is about the same distance. Driving along trail ridge road is awesome.

If you had any questions about NR's selection I can advise.

The Sour Tsunami live resin is the best product coming out of the trap.
Mother's Milk shatter/wax is decent.
As for flower.....the Cult Classic line is currently being put in stores.
Carlsbad caverns, Tony Clifton, Elefante, Shape Shifter, etc.

Best REC flower ... 3 places in Denver.....pricey at times but worth it.
1. The Herbal Cure .... Sour Banana Sherbert
2. Den Rec ..... So many good ones, but Cookie Dough and a slew of Archive's strains too all bomb.
3. The Healing House......hands down best sativa I've found Sour Dope

The 14'er in Boulder is bomb, but pricey....fav strain Blackberry Banana kush and T.R.U.T.H.
