"Ramblin' Man".. the story of my late teens and twenties, from early 70's thru early 80's.

Rest in Peace Gregg.

Toasting one of the greatest voices in rock and roll and blues- Gregg Allman. Thanks for so much great music! God Bless!

it's a sad sad day in may.
I grew up on ABB
I loved seeing them live and played their music in bands,
never enuff tho
can't count the times I experienced their
music on mushrooms, and god only know how many times
the ABB tripped on em, and created music
they have a pretty hefty catalog of music
Greg and the band are a true southern american treasure
only 69 when he passed today,
maybe the saddest thing about Greg Allman passing today
is there was still lots of music in him.
I have a feeling he's jamming right now,
with his brother Duane

RIP
Greg

Well, I've got to run to keep from hiding
And I'm bound to keep on riding
And I've got one more silver dollar
But I'm not gonna let them catch me, no
Not gonna let 'em catch the midnight rider

And I don't own the clothes I'm wearing
And the road goes on forever
And I've got one more silver dollar
But I'm not gonna let them catch me, no
Not gonna let 'em catch the midnight rider

And I've gone by the point of caring
Some old bed I'll soon be sharing
And I've got one more silver dollar

But I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider
No I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider
No, I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no
I'm not gonna let them catch the midnight rider
But I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider

Will be truly missed. Musicians are quickly becoming a thing of the past. What is passing for music today totally sucks balls. Just saw the Bill Board music awards this past weekend and wanted to puke.
Rest well Gregg. You traveled a long hard road.

RIP Gregg Allman.

My first Allman Brothers concert was in the early 2000's in Mansfield, MA when I was 16 I think. Before leaving my dad comes up to me and asks with little interest, "so what band are you seeing?" When I say The Allman Brothers, he stops in his tracks and says "REALLY!!??". lol. I think he was proud. To this day, that was my most memorable concert. Good friends, good music, good times.

Tomorrow I'm going to listen to "Low Country Blues" in memoriam to Mr. Allman.

RIP.

In Memory of Elizabeth Reed might be my favourite song of all time; the Fillmore shows are the sound track of my life.

Truly one of the greats.

Enjoy the next stop Gregg, and thanks for the music and memories. So glad I was lucky to see them a few times...

R.I.P Greg.

Many many times I stood riveted while the Allmans blasted me into space on a wonderful musical ride.

Thanks for the music, memories, and epic times spent at your shows. The Allmans will be played on 11 all day today.

You will be missed my friend...Godspeed

A good friend once said to me, "few white men can sing the blues." Gregg was one. Such a soulful voice.

I could go on and on....

RIP brother and Thank You
