When is it safe to move clones outside? Southern Oregon

Hi guys. I'm going to be growing outdoors in southern Oregonew this year. Running a lot of Blue Dream, GG #4, Obama Kush, and Oregon Diesel. I've been trying to do some research, but haven't been able to come up with much solid information. When is it safe to put clones outside without supplemental lighting? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How big are they now?
I would say once a good root structure is established in a 1 gallon pot. Also, it helps to acclimate them if you could put them outside for a few hours a day before hand.

Im from far norcal .... i never put my girls out till after May 20 as they will want to start flower then go back to veg which makes them throw that one leaf three leaf type growth .. then have to work their way back to straight veg . May 20 is the absolute earliest ill put them out. Mine are ready to go .. just giving them a cpl more days then Boom Hope this helps . Good Luck !!

Thanks for the responses so far. They are few feet tall and pretty well established. My worry is that they will go in to flower and then have to reveg..

I've been checking, and on the longest day of the year in my location is 15:30 hours of daylight. In a week there will be 15 hours of daylight, so I'm hoping that will be enough. They are about to completely overgrow my indoor veg space..

If they are seedlings and have not sexed yet, right now should be fine to put them out. If they are a clone or old enough to be sexed out than I wait until at least June 1st. I live in the southern Willamette Valley.

Have you put plants put earlier in the past and had em flip Willamette Willy? I live in the eugene area, and around here I am waiting. I'm just wondering/hoping if being 3 hrs south will allow me some leeway in putting them out earlier in this garden

Ive had friends put them out in early May and the plants began flowering.(He light depped and harvested in July) Ive always put mine out in early June. Except this year, I started seeds a month ago. They are growing very slowly, though that could be a ph problem. (First time using city water.) :( But it maybe due to putting them out too early as well. They are not sexed yet, so I know they will not be going into flower anytime soon. I would just wait, the few extra days will not help that immensely.

Would be cool if solar lights made enough light at night to keep plants in veg.

Here in Southern Oregon the rule of thumb is June 1st. If you go out before you better have some supplemental light. Every year I see people go out early and experience problems with early flowering. Sometimes it is very minimal but I have seen plants that look 3 or 4 weeks into flower and it really stunts the growth they would be seeing in late june. If your in a greenhouse just keep em inside till the 1t for the win...

Also, those are some great strains but they will not finish in time in your area (maybe the oregon diesel, haven't grown that one) and are not big producers if that is what your after. Blue Dream is Oct 15 at the earliest and GG#4 is more like 20th. Have grown both down here at the bottom of the state. Blue Dream gets huge and is great if you have the late year but I have never seen the glue do worth a fuck.
Good luck!

Don't know anything about Southern Oregon. But before I knew what I was doing, i'd put clones out in early May and they would start to flower then revert back to veg. Depending on how far into flower they go, could be a bad or good thing. Usually a good thing ime.

Have you ever seen a clone that reverted back to veg from flower? They don't call it "Monster Cropping" for no reason... I have had some of the most explosive plants come from re-vegged plants. Although the most fondest memories I have of a "Super Cropped" plant was from re-vegged seed, I know clones do the same. You will experience tons of level canopy branching. Its like it tops, fims, and LST's the entire plant in one lick.

I'm sure some will disagree but keep in mind, i'm only speaking from personal experience. But I wont disagree that it might not work out to your liking.

Mbz...
