Large tank DWC vs Ebb'n'flow
I am planning to do 16 plant SOG in 4x4 tent.
I have my mind on large DWC with 40 Gallon 4x4 tank which fits perfectly in tent. Then just put lid on it and make spots for 16 (4*4) netpots. I have airpump which pumps 950 gallons per hour, and 10 airstones in there. This would be perfect for tent, because the pool/tank doesnt have alot height, which is usually limiting factor in 7ft tents. What you think about this system? Would it work just fine, if I make sure light doesnt get into water and I have enough oxygen with that kind of airpump. I would not change waters or anything, just top the tank when needed. That style has worked perfectly with wilma top feed system atleast, and when I dont change nutes, ph stays in perfect range for some reason and I dont have to adjust it. Only thing I am concerned is water consumption. Would that system consume ALOT more nutes and water, compared to drip n feed or ebb n flow? From my personal experience I would say, but I am not sure. Nutes are expensive and I cant use suspicious amounts of water. ![]() Please tell me what you think, I have not seen alot of large tank bubblers, I would love to make one with grow diary. |

![]() That is the tank I have, I would make lid from plywood and make it fit perfect. Then just holes for netpots, airstones inside and thats it. I would use only 1 strain and use cuttings, so it would not be a problem that roots are in same tank together. |
