As if the horrible uber ride I just had wasn't enough....

I get this email.

I had been all set to reboot an aquaponics exhibit at the Children's Museum. Really put in the time and effort to learn about aquaponics and growing vegetables indoors in such a way. Turns out, after I had my last meeting with the exhibits director and submitted my budget and materials needs, he brought in another company to evaluate the situation of their failed aquaponics display and ousted me. I'd been working with them for three weeks on this thing and was already running a side-by-side at home. No real explanation, just that they got there quicker with a long term plan- even though I submitted an outline that covered a year of on site training and hands on assistance.

I was so stoked to throw in some tiger basil and bok choy. Joke's on me, I guess.

The word conjures up images of— a modern day version of peasants going into the street with their pitch forks to go after the bad guy who lives in a big house and we're gonna get that son-of-a-bitch and we'll take all the stuff from him and we'll give it to the workers. That's not the kind of revolution I had in mind. I thought that it might be nice if it was handled a little bit more modern and efficient way, without people getting slaughtered. It's a matter of infiltration…The people who are in control of the media, the government that run the lives of the average person in the street. They aren't doing a good job 'cause they don't really care. The potential is there in the younger generation. Right now they’re not really interested. Their political involvement is on a very superficial basis. They go out for the social aspects of a march or a rally rather than for what it could possibly accomplish. -FZ
