C99 in Cannacopia hybrids

Hi Chimera and all,
I am wondering about the C99 male used in the Cannacopia hybrids available at Breeders Retail.
Can someone share some background on it?

For a line as well stabilized as C99, there were some pretty poor versions offered in seed in recent years, so I feel the need to ask about the origins before getting in.

Strange how a quality line of genetics can be everywhere for a while, then suddenly become "rare."

Thanks in advance to anyone in the know ;-)

If you need a straight c99 version Mosca's is awesome. I am curious about this question, but confident given the access Canna has to cuts it's no slouch from bad breeding stock.

Chim said they used original bros grimm c99 from seed passed by him for the males. Some interesting crosses for sure would love to see some reports.

Hi 40.
Funny you'd mention the Mosca, that is the version I have read so many negative reports on.

Never understood the reason for him to do an outcross/BX on a line with so many sources of proven, consistent incrosses like Joey Weed, JLP, Wally and Gypsy.

I had a dialog with Nuggetshiner when he was in the game. He had run them all and found them all to be very similar, with a slight preference for the Joey Weed and JLP versions.

Now that Soul is back on the scene, expectations for something labelled as "Cindy" are understandably high.

Great news Bloyd that they used original Grimm stock. Thanks!

Yeah no Idea why would have heard negatives things mine were beasts and fantastic bag appeal. I had a straight pineapple pheno with a very distant grape flavor and musty basement. I loved mine I should have a log of it posted and pretty well documented. He had a bx line and a straight f2 if I remember correctly with more variation.

I am definitely interested in seeing bro grimm hybrids grown out but for right now 150$ needs to go to other genes. These canna hybrids seem to have more of an interest to me.

My good friend has a straight up
Hawaiian Punch flavor and smelling C99 Mother that is mouthwatering and is fire for daytime smoke which he's kept for many years from Mosca. I think his stock started with Bros. Grimm too, just a smaller selection pool.
You can get C99 from MrSoul himself now from all original stock. I don't know how much we should be talking too much about Mosca here (don't want to upset Chimera). I have my problems with the guy for another reason which I won't raise a stink over here.
I do have some of that C99 crossed with original DJ Short Blue Moonshine that I'll get into sometime. Heck I forgot all about those! I may even throw a few outdoors as they should finish here.

Peace,
KF

I saw that some of Joey Weeds stuff is back up somewhere. I wonder if he's back or its older stock?

I ended up soaking 10 seeds of the
C99 x Blue Moonshine to put outdoors.
God I can't believe I forgot that I had those seeds! Thanks for jogging my memory on those.
I think the original Mental Floss I have would finish outdoors here too. I'm at just below 43 degrees latitude.

Peace,
