And so thus spoke the one they call Karl:

"Behold! - On the 6th night of the month of April, of the year of number twenty and seventeen, I did check the pot holding the great and mighty Ancestral Skunk #1, for it was time.
My eyes did gaze upon the gentle sprouts of those seed I had planted, and it was good. The second coming had arrived.
This seed of old age doth have plenty of youth and vigour. Your planting will be successful and plentiful to those of good heart and skill.
Thus ends the testing of this Skunk #1 which will be called 'Batch2'. Let there be peace and prosperity to all who love this fair plant."

For those of you who are having trouble deciphering the message from our crazy friend, it means we're good to go on this second batch of Ancestral Skunk #1.

After I got the seed I did a very simple germ test. I soaked 100 seeds in water for about 12 hours. I then placed between paper towels and covered and had tap roots appear after about 3 days. I then planted in soil and we had lift off.

There was no special tech involved.. So far, as you'll see from the picture, I have about 11 seeds sprouting above soil. I checked the dish today and more seeds have opened and produced tap roots.

Those who take special care with this seed will no doubt be able to get better results than 10% germination! (Disclaimer: This does not mean you will get better germination than 10% but it is possible!) I wouldn't want to guess but from 100 seeds I'm hoping you might be able to get very good germ rates from this very old seed.
