Some people thrive under prohibition. Others if not most folks do not.

Even home brewing is regulated. 100 gallons a year per person, 200 gallons a year per house hold.

There is a huge difference getting 5 years in state plus 2 years post release, for one plant. Than being allowed to have that one plant.

Plus under legal growing people get a chance to have huge grows. Just look at some of the land in Humboldt for sale, and there permit sizes.

Now yes the bureaucracy of anything sucks a fat chode. If you want to do something that has been highly illegal out of the shadows, there will be bureaucracy. Don't like that then voice your voice and be proactive.

Maybe.

It is going to be a few decades though. I would very much like to see no restrictions but I don't think big companies are going to let that happen very soon. They'll stretch the 'industry' as long as they can because if everyone could grow, and grow as much as they wanted to, if it was like any other garden...it would all fall apart. Pounds for $10.

That’s about 3 – 12oz bottles a day per person per year, 6 per household. All legal and no strings attached for personal consumption. Not bad unless you have a case a day habit. I occasionally brew my own but never really figured how much beer I actually drink in a year. Nowhere close to 100 gallons.

I voted no but think a flat no or yes doesn't take a lot of variables into consideration. I don't think there will be absolutely no regulations sometime but I do think that the plant itself will drop down to becoming an relatively ordinary garden occupant. I also think there will be big pharma battles over Cannabis compounds making various claims and that there will be serious regulations of the various products. Will weed buds ever be a common grocery item. Don't know about that. Pretty sure though if anyone wants to grow a few plants no one will care.

I don't think it will be legal fully. Tax man is going to get his cut. Some government entity will have to regulate the market just like anything else. Ultimately if left alone the market will self regulate, as long as the government doesn't interfere the best competitors will prevail with the best product. Things will never happen that way anymore

I have no problem paying taxes on a commercial grow. But if it's like commercial tobacco that would be an issue. They want the tax money while tobacco is still in the field. Before harvest is a horrible time to pay the tax. Even a crop like corn they want tax as soon as it's harvested. It would be easier to pay tax at time of transaction. When funds are there. Why count eggs before they hatch? Easily just because of greed.

Nobody is really watching how much home brew guys are brewing either. Lot's of home distillers as well. It's when they have 1000's of gallons of mash and a full time distillation set up.

Still lot's of tight asses that are afraid of cannabis culture.

this premise presumes a lot......will it be legal, nationally....?.....how's this;

given what you know about .gov, assuming you understand what the united states is about and has always been about since 1776 and before( im not talking about the patriotic fervor/bs storyline we've been fed all our lives....) AND if you've read your history and done your own research into the thread leading up to the prohibition of cannabis and the trials/tribulations ever since 1937......AND you know what cannabis is capable of, not just the medical aspects bandied around in the 'legal' sectors.........

...................

..............

do you really want cannabis legalized?

if it goes legal/decrimmed across the country, i would wager it will be a shitshow with .gov and the corp.se that keeps her afloat. you will hate it and be disgusted at what would happen. nothing good can ever come of anything good coming into the hands of .gov
