It's because of a watering stress, not the feeding.

If you look good to the pics, you can see that there are a lot of nettles around them...

OK, interesting, so that's from them drying out too much or getting too wet? Or just stress from inconsistent watering? I'm asking because it is very similar to symptoms I'm seeing on a few of my outdoor plants, like I said I figured it was deficiency but it could just as easily be watering stress, it's been a strange summer here, way wetter than usual, so I've found it difficult to adjust watering.
