Well Mass. is fixing to screw up retail today.
If I had time or any idea how/where to go protest I would. The law, the way it was passed, laid out how this is supposed to go down, but now they think it needs reworked. They don't think 3.75% will cover the state's administrative cost. WTF??? They are going to jack up the rules and taxes to the point that nobody will be buying anything from the retail stores. I'm actually glad they are screwing with retail, before home grow laws. I just hope they piss off enough people with jacking up the retail, that they will leave the grow laws alone.

It's not called Taxachusetts for nothing.
Those fucks in Boston just want more money to piss away on pet projects that ensure votes or to line their own bottomless pockets. The administrative costs are a red herring. You know the cannabis control board will be chosen with the state's nepotism and crony politics intact-peeps with family connections or those who bought their way in with election donations- with board members making exorbitant salaries so they can kick some cash back up the line. That's what you get in a one party state when the incumbents have no fear of losing their seats. Massachusetts is a total nanny state where the so-called representatives ignore the will of the people and do what they wish with the mentality of "we know what's good for you so sit down, shut up and take it". Protesting does nothing. Those so called reps. look out the windows and laugh at the sheep who they know will vote for them come next election anyhow.

Yea its a money grab they saw other states sales tax on weed and they know people are willing to pay a lot more sales tax for their legal weed. Texas is much worse they dont even want to pass medical here and the cbd law doesnt work and they wont change it. How the hell can a cbd only producer survive with a very small amount of buyers and a half million a year fee to grow? Doctors cant prescribe weed legally they need to recommend weed not prescribe like the law is written. This place is a shithole they dont allow voter initiatives the reps have to vote to let us vote on weed legalization. They ignore those bills to let us vote. The one they are trying to pass probably wont pass the 250$ ticket for 1 ounce or less and that has like 20 reps sponsoring it. Medical bills have no sponsors so they wont pass for sure
