Help picking a strain
Hey everyone! I'm excited to try out some BOG seeds and I wanted some help picking a pack. I'm leaning towards sour strawberry as I recently lost a fire alien strawberry and I want something to replace it with a potent strawberry kush, so the sour strawberry sounds like a good fit as I love ecsd and fruity strains. Should I just go for that? I've read that sour bubble has a very special high, but it seems the yield is a little low on it, is it worth the low yield for that special high? Also I'm running some gorilla bubble bx2, so am I already in sour bubble territory and a pack of sour bubble is unnecessary?
How do sour bubble and sour strawberry compare? Is there another Bog strain I should really try? Is the sour bubble high truly unique? |

I actually didn't like the Sour Strawberry, out of four females, none even remotely smelled of strawberry's and it lacked potency on all females.I believe that strain is a pheno hunt.....The Sour Bubble on the other hand is the most amazing pot I've ever had. It's the unbelievable flavor of sb that is beyond special and worth the slow veg and low yields but,the hign is special too, very potent....SB can yield decent but u have to veg her for a long time......Seriously,get the SB and I give u my word u won't be disappointed. Nothing compares to its uniqueness. I lost my SB mom years ago and still think about it weekly.Currently have three packs to run thru....Good luck.

Thanks Hemphill! Bummer to hear on the sour strawberry but sour bubble sounds good! Did you find a wide range of phenotypes?

There was a decent range of phenotypes.Mainly two types of plant structures, cornstalk and branchy bushes. The terps would vary between the two types.I prefer the cornstalk types because that's where I would find the bubba Kush phenos(chocolate coffee kush with fruit undertones). The branchy phenos were great but can't remember much about them. You should be able to find something about the branchy ones on this forum.Maybe put a link here if you find something..........Also,I really only had two phenos of the SSK,4 females but,two phenos,so don't let me scare u away by my limited experience.Loose bud structure and mild smells onb mine turned me off, hopefully you'll have better luck.If you want a universally loved,100%sure thing that is unique to any cannibis and worth smoking even if it didn't get you hign at all,get Sour Bubble!!!!!!!!!

Spoke to the folks at BOG got a list from "tha nun" lol and have to ask im DEF grabbing the SOUR BUBBLE but they have a grab 3 packs offer i wanna jump on. Aside from SB, can you give me insight on another couple strains from them that are decent potency? Taste and structure i dont really mind so much about, so for example would you rec blue moon rocks?

If you're worried about potency i'd get something with Sour bubble in it.I'm going to get Sour Boggle soon because, according to B.O.G,its a "Grape bubba Kush" and that sounds sublime, plus it yields well and is potent.I haven't tried it yet though...I would also recommend Sour Lifesaver based on reviews in icmag but,it's out of stock for 6months -1yr....Blue Kush also sounds amazing and BOG prefers it's taste to Blue moon rocks.Honestly though, you just can't go wrong.BOG Bubble and bogglegum won't be the most potent but, they yield well and have great flavor according to everyone........ I personally only have experience with s.Bubble and SSK,though.........Also,orderi ng direct is the only option IMO.wish I had known two months ago when I paid $100+ for three SB packs:(.....I can't believe the 10 packs deal!!

I don't think that you can really go wrong with any of BOGS strains.
I've grown 25 sour bubble plants and did not find anything that was close to Bogs clone only sour bubble mom. But I did have some wonderful bubble gum types and some coffee/cola terps. There are a few wonderful phenos in his sour strawberry strain, and also in his lifesaver and Blue moon rocks strains. If I were to suggest a bog strain to a new grower I would suggest the sour strawberry, if you pop a full pack you will find a nice strawberry female, imo. Like most of his strains you need a little extra time for vegetative growth but nearly every pheno you find will have a nice indica high to it. Best of luck! Peace |

The Blue Moon Rocks we pretty good. It wasn't something I kept around. Sweet bubblegum my flavor and decent potency.
Lifesaver is very potent. Highly recommended by many. |
