My Mango Bi(t)che(s)
Here are my three Mango Biche females. They are fully pollinated by 4 mango males. Massive side branching. I think they are around 4 weeks into flower at this point. No smell or resin yet, which it to be expected so early. I also hit some Ace Paki Kush x RSC Sinai, with the mango pollen as well.

Only popped one, but it grew horizontal. No lateral stretch. Unfortunately never got to see it in flower. It had rough competition so it got phased out. So I'll be watching. Good luck.

Thank you all, im stoked for em. I love they are lanky, stretchy and unique. I have to stake one up tonight, as it is leaning heavy and can't stand well on its own. I don't expect them to bloom super big buds, they are completely pollinated, and early on when they were hit, so just alot of seeded calyx's are expected.
Illuminate- please explain what you mean. Lol I don't follow.

Greetings thejact55,
I Think Illuminate was saying these would make a nice cross with a broad leaf indica ![]() Kaiki seem to have thought same with the Peyote Purple cross they release before |

I'd rather see Mango Biche with a Sweet Skunk S1. You can get heterosis with unrelated sativa plants too. Not just mixing wdl with ndl. Once a strain gets "tainted" with wdl it takes time to get rid of. Wld/Nld is perfect in the first gen. A shorter flowering plant with the sativa high in the first gen. would be the aim. But for a perspective continued long into the fure I'd prefer not to mix in a Wdl. The SSS1 are variable, but a cross with the more exotic types genotypes/expressions with Mango Biche would probably generate a nice F1.

Lol thanks for the clarification, that WLD wasn't clicking with me. Still not sure what they'll be crossed with yet, but they will no doubt be used. I am just replicating all of my current seed stash in pure form, so instead of 10 or 20 seeds of each, I can play with hundreds for making my crosses and find parents.
So I'm noticing that the mango biche seeds are maturing faster than my pck x sinai that I also hit with the mango pollen. Buds arent, and I understand that the formation of buds in correlation of seed maturing isn't directly related, but I still expected the mango seeds to take longer. Any thoughts on this, is there literally no correlation to a long flowering strain versus the time it normally takes bud to mature?

Hm usually seeds are done earliest at about 4-5 weeks, I usually just pollinate certain parts/buds of the plant. So a nine week plant, gets harvested about a week later when pollinated to compensate for some of the energy that went in to seed production. The plant is harvested except for the pollinated parts. I leave the plants in the flower room or put them back in to the veg. room . With so much of the plant harvested, the goal is just to keep the plant alive for a couple of extra weeks for some really nice brown, mature seeds. Regarding sativa plant's I've not thought about it that much, but anecdotal evidence suggests that it takes the about the same time for the seed to develop disregarding the wld/nld. It's more about when in the inividual plant's flower season the plants was pollinated. I've had seeds "ready" on plants long before harvest of the buds.
I've never read any literature about that so I can only go by my own experience. The specific speed of the development regarding the seeds have never been my concern. Just like buds, some things just need to develop at their own pace. But maybe some one else can chime in. Last edited by R.A.W; 03-18-2017 at 09:28 AM.. |
