I would like to know what roles root exudates play in a coco/hydroponic setting. Are these exudates reduced as a result of immediately available cations? Does the plant somehow realize this availability and reduce its exudate energy? And / or does it produce exudates that would change the pH of surrounding media to release pH unavailable nutrients?

If there are soluble nutrients (cations & anions) forced upon the plant, it does not produce the exudates (or in limited fashion) This is described in other articles on my webpage.

That's an info which should be spread widely to better explain organic growing to other brothers.

In other words :. Healthy plants shit out the exact stuff that the bacteria you want to attract want to eat. The bottle sugar water is not what they want, nor is any other bottled version of what soil grown plants naturally create from photosynthesis.

Im still waiting for bottled chlorophyll to hit the hydroponic market.. Hey maybe thats a scam I should pull to pad my pockets.. I can fill it with 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-butanone and call it Super Goose Juice (hats off to anyone who gets the reference)
