Pro-Mix BX Question
I buy my Pro-Mix BX from Homedepot and the color of the package is different then every other package I see out there. The color packages I see everyone buying on here looks like this:
![]() The one at hope depot is like an orange yellow blend of packaging, is there a difference? Does Home-Depot sell the back and white bag and I just miss it? Thanks everyone. |

It appears that there are 3 kinds of promix bx. One just plain, one with biofungicide, and one with mycorise. This may explain the different packaging. I don't think its a big deal. They are adding the extra stuff to be trendy. Here is an ingredient sheet: https://www.premierhort.com/eProMix/H...oCompChart.pdf At the very bottom of the page in small print, it tells what the extra mycorise and biofungicide are and what they do.

I inquired about this my last trip to Home DePOT. The kind lady's responce was the Promix HomeDepot carries it made by the same MFGR but put into generic bails without the fancy labels.
I don't know... but I still end up at the 'Dro shop getting the bail with the fancy label. |

Thanks for the link, I havn't seen that chart yet. I'll check out my hydro store to see if they have pro-mix in these bags. I'd rather get the right ones, if not I'll just get the same old stuff i've always been getting. It isn't bad, I'd like to try the ones with additives though.

Stoned Silly...Home Depot in NY sells it....It comes in a different color bag then the ones you buy from the grow shop..It's like orange and white or something close..I think it said COMMERCAIL GRADE or something to that effect on it..A buddy of mine had a bag, I asked where he got it..Home depot was his answer..I use the big White bales with Mycorise...Good shit, works like a champ...peace

the black bags of promix bx is promix bx. the orange bags of promix bx are there new shit with added mycrorise. The orange bag is the same as the black bag but better because it has added mycrorise in it. yeah the home depots around here dont carry promix ether. any way, go orange!
