Keeping a diverse library is the most challenging part of this wonderful hobby, constantly refreshing the moms, cloning, seed popping, transplanting, more transplanting ... here is a glimpse at the veg room today, I do this without ever spraying, no pesticides, no foliar feed, just good old vermicompost/perlite/vermiculite and insect frass. The mugs and glasses filled with bran are actually ''slow release'' cucumeris
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwq2...ature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZZZ...ature=youtu.be In case you wonder about the unhealthy leaves, I had a mishap 2 weeks ago where I used a new liquid seaweed and the ammonia smell was so intense that I thought there was something wrong with it, I thought it contaminated my soil and I basically pulled the plants that came in touch with it and rinsed the roots and planted them in clean soil. There was probably nothing wrong with the seaweed but better safe than sorry, I returned the bottle. It was so pungent it smelled like there was some sort of chemicals in it, but apparently it was a chemical free extraction. some dry nugs of SLK X BH #2 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vv6h...ature=youtu.be

I chopped one of the main cola from my SLK X BH #1 , she's sitting at day 69, and looks far from being ready. I had to inspect at least one of the colas to make sure she was not starting to mold inside. Happy to report there was not a hint of mold, and in my setup, with my growing style, if plants have buds this big at this stage in flowering and show no signs of mold I call them mold resistant.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdBK...ature=youtu.be So far Id say my SLK X BH #2 is the keeper of the 3 girls I grew. The number 3 needs a little more time to finish, but its not very loud, if I smell it long enough I pick a smell I really dig but I think I ll endup getting rid of it. Same with the #1, I have to take a good long inhale to pick a faint background smell that is totally to die for. Yields very good but the flowering time is significantly longer than the other 2 ( the number 3 not quite done but is almost done at day 53) Most testing/sniffing needed ... The #2 is the loudest, decent flowering time, great resin, I plan to keep that one a few cycles and get to know her. I did use a male SLK X BH on my Blue Spoon yesterday, only enough for 10-20 seeds.... I am probably going to pollinate a couple other girls tonight with it but I don't have high expectation. It is the first time I ever clone a male before flowering so I will keep the SLK BH alive until I run some blue spoon cross and see what it did.

Updated list of keep Hers, nice to have in the veg room, it helps a lot when comes time to take cuttings. I am definitely looking at narrowing down the list of keep hers to 10 cultivars, 15 moms is a bit ridiculous on top of all the runner ups, I am growing a lot of plants that end up in the compost ..., they never see the flower room. I only have so much room for flowering...
Culling plants, a skill I need to work on!

STOG #2 (Strawberry OG (BCD X MJ))
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hrp...ature=youtu.be I probably won't grow the STOGs again (great loud plants, both of them) The reason being my little outdoor grow yielded quite a lot of seeds from 3 plants and dad was the brother of both STOGS, the only 3 seeds found in the Strawberry OG mom. Chupacabra x STOG Therapy X STOG (that one was fully seeded, I cant wait to see how many viable seeds) Les Fleurs Bleues X STOG

The last plant I zoom in is the More Cowbell from bodhi, what a difference when grown properly, seeing what this plant does in the SIP makes me very happy I kept her around. In order is Barbara from house of great gardener, candida#2 from Medical marijuana genetics, spacebomb x dragon fruit, (dr.grinspoon x bluesage), More cowbell, the last 2 in the corner I dont focus on are 2 Les Fleurs Bleues ... buds are getting heavy on those, looking forward to see if she 's as mold resistant and she always been. Those colas are going to be massive though.

Always learning something new, you think water hash is simple but it has it's complexities.
This is some of my best extraction of fresh frozen so far, it used to always come out quite green for me. This was my Les Fleurs Bleues outdoor, I dont think the yield was great but most of the hash is still drying. Drying hash on cardboard works great when you make your hash with dry trim or dry buds but with fresh frozen, (probably strain dependant as well) all the hash was like a chewing gum and stuck to the cardboard really bad. I am waiting to see if the hash will come off easy when completely dry but in the mean time I found a trick to get it off the cardboard. I froze the whole pizza box with the hash on it and after a while I scraped it onto parchment. This is the 73u second wash, the first wash yielded quite a bit more. I thought this looked clean enough for dabbing and it worked but got the banger quite dirty, it was also still too wet. Once pressed with the first wash I think it will make some fire rosin. Also today I transplanted 3 plants in the SIP that had the spacegrin. Missjack #2, Les Fleurs Bleues and Sweet Pine, so tomorrow will be day one on those. I think I will rename the SpaceGrin to Weeping Willow, LOL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMz2...ature=youtu.be She was so thick, like 10 clothes hanger filled with resiny sticks! The yield of resin is great, this plant would make some very fine hash, I might have to start growing her exclusively for water hash extraction but that would be way more hash than I could smoke.
