What measures would you like passed? Legalized

I think anyone should be able to grow sell. If cannabis was inspected and certified like ginseng, I don't see what the problems are.

Cannabis auctions. Just like produce or livestock or tobacco auctions.

Record shouldn't limit involvement. So many states think having a record should bar involvement in cannabis. Felons can distill liquor legally and grow sell tobacco. No problems for convicts to open a brewery but if it's cannabis, somehow people think only evil can come of it.

How about square foot garden limits? Pay a bit more for larger grows. Plant counts only make things more expensive given the same square feet. 6 plants vegged for a few weeks yield pretty much the same as one monster plant vegged for 2 months. 18 hours lights on gets costly, why not shorten that?

What measures would you enjoy seeing passed in legalization efforts? This is more of a wish and share thread. Not that anyone will listen to the people that gave birth to the movement.

I want to see global legislation for cannabis which is the same as it is for lettuce.

Grow all you want, give it to your neighbors, stack it in your yard, trade with your neighbors for cucumbers and whatnot.

Want to sell it? Jump through the same hoops commercial lettuce farmers have to jump through, though geared for cannabis.

Anything else is criminal. Period.

Regulate cannabis like alcohol. Simple enough.

I would like a farmers' market model. Anybody can grow as much as they want but it could only be sold by growers at a farmers' market.

I would LOVE to see an executive order declaring that every Tuesday will officially be Taco Tuesday and from this point hinsforth there will be free tacos for all.

Even fish, and veggie tacos for those that are into that sort of thing.

What benefit is it to treat a fantastic medicine and needed staple for humans, like alcohol? Kids need cannabis as much (or more) than adults do. People of all kinds need unrestricted access to cannabis.

Im content with my current legal situation, although I would like to see higher plant limits and an industry and laws that better cater to small business home growers.

I feel that they throw us a bone with small plant counts but the business side caters to people with a lot of cash to throw around. I don't want to run a huge warehouse but I would like to share my flowers legally on a larger scale.

Some places are adding sqft garden limits already, I am not "wishing" for these rules, but I suppose it would be better than plant count assuming the square footage isnt regulated down to small.

It is a plant. We should be able to grow it in our yard like any other plant. We should be able to pass it among our friends and neighbours freely, like tomatoes, carrots, beans, potatoes and so on. No government should have the power to tell us what we can put inside our bodies.
For the commercial side it should be handled like any other business. You register it, follow commercial growing regulations and pay taxes like any other open market.
I think the demagoguery wants us to bend to their will and undoubtedly Big Pharma wants a slice of the pie, or maybe the whole pie. They can either drop it altogether from the schedule or is will just be business as usual. The war on drugs is a failure, they need to find a white flag to wave.
