I would love to hear what my Fellow British Colombians are using for their out strain choices this year.

This year I plan to stay away from autos as I have been really disappointing with yeilds in the past.

I am a bit overwhelmed with all the choice out there and am trying to narrow it down. I want something that can get huge and still mature before end of September.

Have you checked out ancestral seeds they have some good OD strains for BC
Van seed Bank has some good OD maybe some texada timewarp crosses betty warp..B

i tried some ancestral gear last year.... probably won't do that again.....

don't have any advice on what to run because it really depends what part of BC and at what elevation. Anything timewarp will suit coastal regions and there are many crosses as well.
rcmcollective has a tonne of uniquely canadian bred outdoor.... that's the first place i'd start if i was looking for something new.

For me , I'm running Shiskabah (1998 shiskaberryx 2015 shiskaberry 3), LMZ (98 shisk x Nuken) probably some mountain temple and fire alien kush. I also be running some pure sativas again with antenna's purplelazerlite.
BTW, I'm about 1/2 way up the province and sitting at 3240ft elevation.

I just made my order for White grizzly from Kootenay Mountain seeds and Timewarp from Alternative Seeds. I figured if I get these started early there will be at least one big beauty in my patch this year.

I also have some Timewarp x Puna haze and Timewarp x Purple indica from white buffalo seeds as testers that I plan to run on my patio.

That's quite the climate to grow in! by what time do you usually need to have your crop in by?

this past season was my first attempt at growing up here outdoors. My "mountain plot" a few KM away was wiped out within the first few weeks of putting them out. Weather this year in the BC interior was just brutal with wrath of god like hail storms right into july. Wet shitty windy cold weather put a damper on most folks unprotected crops this year up this way.
I managed to pull a nice crop off in my shitty little greenhouse though.
I harvested between 2nd and 3rd week of october but that was only possible by running 2 1500 watt heaters at full blast for the last month 24 hours a day. It had already snowed here and temps down to minus 10C before my plants came down.

Have you tried the Early Grizzly strain from kootenay? They apparently dont grow as big as the White Grizzly but finish ~2-3weeks sooner.

Wow those are hectic growing conditions! and I thought I had it bad in the lower mainland.

Im not in BC but if i was i would be growing Loompa farms yeti. I run it indoors and love the stuff, and would bet my season on the cut i have doing well outside.

Yeti is climatized for northern cali conditions, imo would probably kick ass up here.

I ordered a few packs of the Early Grizzly this year, haven't tried them yet. I need somthing that will finish early even if I have to sacrifice yeild. Not worth getting froze out or mould.

A buddy tried the White Grizzly last year and had some trouble finishing it in time, he has the same thoughts on autoflower as yourself. He did have 7 foot Christmas trees with good yeild. Not the best smoke but made up with quantity.

I also truly believe in the semiauto flower strains. A little yeild loss to me is worth a near garenteed finishing plant at 50th latitude.
