I need a little help with some math (not my forte).

Id like to infuse 1 gram of 99.6% pure CBD crystaline into 500ml of hemp oil.

My question is...... What is the strength of CBD contained in the infusion??

100mg? 200mg? etc.

The crystalline stuff would probably be CBDA, so after decarboxylization it would be about 850mg of CBD or 1.7mg CBD/ml of hemp oil after infusion.

Actually, the crystalline CBD is almost surely decarboxylated already. Where did it come from, Greenadian? I'm sure they've shared this information about their product at some point.

I do believe CBDa would crystallize as well, but given the efficiency involved in things like heated extractions and isolations - along with the more extensive and conclusive research on the decarboxylated molecule - big producers usually crystallize CBD from high-purity distillate which has already been heated and decarboxylated.

I'm very interested if anyone has information regarding CBDa vs CBD in human metabolism and medicinal effects. Maybe it's time to whip out Mechoulam's texts.

I had no idea, all the crystalline forms I've seen have been the in acidic state & all decarbed stuff I've seen has been sap so I just assumed that the crystals were necessarily the undecarbed form. I didn't even know that a room temperature stable CBD crystal was possible, thanks for filling me in.

As far as crystalline CBD, I am going off of what the producers of CBD crystals are telling me, as well as reports in literature from GW Pharma, Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, and some others I think. I have never distilled a batch with very high CBD content, nor have I isolated any CBD crystals.

My early extracts of high CBD strains, like Harlequin Tsunami, were extremely flavorful and extremely sappy. And they were happily consumed before coming close to drying out.

I see no reason CBDa is THAT much harder to achieve in high purity. Look at Guild's THCa. You can do that with high CBDa content too...
I keep asking them why they don't have any CBDa isolate around, and the response is usually that they hardly work with CBD, and when they do it is distilled. So I'm not really sure why they don't venture into the world of CBDa isolation.

Buuuuuuut......where are you sourcing your CBDa? In crystalline form, and tested at ~99%? You have my interest..

The 500ml will contain 996mg of CBD or in other words your hempseedoil has 0.20% CBD in it.

Nope, all of the CBD Isolate on the market is decarbed through the production process.
Only THC-A comes also in crystalline form, in contrary to THC which comes only in liquid form in high percentages.

I've only had THC as an over 99% type of thing, the weed stores around Portland carry it, its always been distilled sap so I assumed the same characteristics were true of the CBD that used to be for sale on various websites (and now looks like about a 12% better deal).
