Fertilizing
hello, I've got my cabinet built and am almost ready to germinate and get everything going in the first grow in my new place. I have some Ultimate Moonshine, Ice, Aurora Indica, and Whos yer daddy to grow out. I really want this grow to progress smoothly and the only thing that I'm really unsure about is the fertilization process. I dont want to burn any of the genetics, but I dont want to underfertilize either.
Do any of you growers have a good fertilization method for testing new strains? When do you start to fert seedlings? What concentration do you use? Thanks for any help |

I start with 1/4 strength nutes about 2 to three weeks from seed. I use straight r/o water before then. Then I ramp it up a little until I transplant to next pot.
You just have to watch for how the different strains handle the nutes, some are a little different than others. Tex |

thank ya sir.....
so, start off with 25% of the instructions, and then every 3rd watering(5-6 days) increase the % a little until it burns a little, then use the previous concentration, right? does that make sense? heh and how much vertical space above the screen in a ScROG setup is needed? I have a tall cabinet, but with all the fans and lights and the top, I am only able to use about half the cabinet in height. I think I'll have 2.5-3ft. of height above the screen to play with, will that be enough? Thanks for any help guys/girls/other! |

3 feet should be more than enough if your doing a scrog
Good luck and keep us all posted on your progress |

That should be plenty of room above your screen.
And yes you are correct, you can add nutes until you start to see a slight tip turning up and/or a little browning on the tip and then back off a little by adding a few shots of straight water. Tex |
