Organic PK booster tea for mid flowering?
I went to my local hydro/organic store and bought 2lbs of primal harvest guano 0-12-1, 2lbs of high phos bat guano 0-7-0, and 2lbs of kelp meal, which I don't know the npk of.
Im using Happy Frog soil amended lightly with FF Fruit and Flower Peace of Mind dry fert at 1/4 cup per cu. ft. and lime at 1/4 cup per cubic ft. Im currently watering every time with 1tsp of Liquid Karma and 1 TBSP of FF Big Bloom to 1 gallon of RO water. Now, I'd like to add a complete organic PK booster to that regiment every watering around mid flower. For my pk booster, I was thinking of using 1 cup of each of the amendments above to 5gal of RO water, bubbled for 2 days, then fed to my plants at 1 cup of "pk tea liquid mix", to 1 gallon of my current LK/FFBB mix. Every watering. What do you guys think? Im not sure if im adding too much kelp meal or what. I really just want to supercharge my current feeding schedule. All help is appreciated. |

hey
at my local grow shop they sell dry seaweed 0-0-18 and since you are seriously lacking in k that should do the trick or if you mix the listed nutes at half strenght you will get 0-9.5-.5 plus lk wich is 1-1-2(love the stuff) and you will likely see clear k def. hope i helped |

Hello
use molasses @ 1 tbsn /gallon for K. I have doubled that with no ill effects. I use the following tea per gallon of water 4 tspn ewc 2 tbsn guano (3-10-1) 1-2 tbsn molasses (unsulphured blackstrap) 1 tbsn liquid kelp with humic acid My plants lov ehte stuff and let me tell you- certainly some interesting odors and flavors using the above tea every watering. I use the same tea for veg except I add 1/4- 1/2 strenght Alaska fish for the N. Man, I love this stuff. Good luck, minds_I

My problem is I need to brew 1 strong bucket of tea because I need 6, five gallon buckets full to water my crop. Brewing 6 buckets of tea would be a PITA!!!!, but brewing 1 strong bucket would be a lot easier.

Alright so here's how it goes in my garden....
2 cups of high P guano in 5gallon of water, put the guano in a pillow case and let it seep 24-48 hrs. Use 2-4 cups of this dark tea per gallon of water with every watering during mid flowering. That takes care of P, now K will need more attention, it needs to be maintained more than "boosted" during veg and flowering, lmake sure to use kelp meal in your soil mixes always. Add 1 tbs of liquid seaweed or Maxi-Crop to your tea and that should provide a good boost, I personally also like BS molasses at 1tbs /gal and worm casting and Liquid Karma at 1tbs/gallon, this will boost microbes which will boost nutes made available. Peace

Airkewled- Kelp meal and concentrated seaweed are quite different even tho theyre from the same thing. I've used both. The kelp meal I used was 1-0-2, yours should be around the same while my concentrated seaweed is closer to what Johnny Grey lists 1-1-16. Point is using a little extra kelp meal won't hurt since it is kinda weak.
BTW- you can brew one strong tea and dilute it just make sure the water you dilute it with has been aged a few days so that the chlorine is gone and doesnt kill all the goodies you brewed up -edit- just let me say next time you visit your hydro shop pick up some concentrated seaweed instead of kelp meal to make your teas, my $11 container claims to make 200-350 gallons or some huge amount like that.
