I used to sell a lot of stuff on eBay. But all the seller fees eBay charges and also the PayPal fees, your really getting fucked. Unless your selling at such a high volume then it might be worthwhile.

That's largely true. I just never buy anything unless I can make a minimum of $50 after all fees and I never pay more for something than I can break even with, even if it's in horrific condition. Even then, it has to be something very easy to sell and ship. I take into account the seller's knowledge and reputation and adjust what I'm willing to pay. I never pay more than approximately half of what something is probably worth so I don't pay more than $100 (including shipping) for something worth $200 (plus shipping). If I buy lots of small items, such as instruction manuals, I pay practically nothing for those and sell them one at a time. If I see an item worth $1000 with a buy-it-now price of $200 then I'll buy and re-sell it. This may seem like an abusive way to do business but I never try to low-ball anyone.

Check your promotions section on the sellers page. Lots of people are getting 500 free Buy It Now listings
![]() I'm gonna be busy the next few days. |

Yes but that only lasts 30 days... and WATCH OUT for automatically relisted items because eBay will charge you when they're relisted. I never take advantage of eBay's "SPECIAL PROMOTIONS" because there's ALWAYS a "GOTCHA!!".

I always use the special promotions. Never had a problem or a gotcha moment. 500 free 30 day listings is a deal! |

Okay, so you spend how much time and effort listing 500 items during eBay's 30 day promotion... and sell how many items? After 60 days the listings you created are no longer available to be relisted... even if you're willing to pay the fees. So most of your time is wasted... unless you pay their fees. It's a 'gotcha'.

If I can't relist the few I don't sell after 60 days, then I will just make a new listing. I never pay for insertion fees..ever... |

It really annoys me how much they take.
Say you sell a car for $5000, they want $500 just for a listing that maybe 100 people viewed. Yeah f**k that. I sell some old stuff that i no longer need on there but anything of value i sell somewhere else. |
