Adding liquid nutes to AACT-TDS readings drop from 850 to 130? Lower than tap TDS?
Please understand i am not following any strict regimen, and this whole grow has been an experiment.
Ive been strictly watering with actively aerated tea's my whole grow. About half thru veg, i decided to start adding GH gro, micro, bloom, and cal mag into my tea's, before brewing. Ive been doing the 321veg, 123flower ratios. 5 plants, each get 3 gallons of water in their 10 gallon fabric pots. I dont even vaccum the runoff. It soaks back up into the pots within a few hours and my runoff is still testing great. I notice my TDS readings when i add the nutes to the tea drop dramatically after a 24 hour brew cycle. For instance- Todays feed, first 123 flower recipe: 15 gal tap water.... tests 150 tds straight from tap and 8.2 PH ADD: 1 cup worm castings, 15 tsp Recharge, 1 cup molasses 40ml gro 80ml micro 120ml bloom 40ml cal/mag Test again: 850TDS-8.6PH Brew with 1150gph air pump for 24 hours and take readings again 130TDS.....6.2PH Water plants with this mix TDS 130/PH 6.2 going in, TDS 320/PH 6.5 runoff Plants look GREAT This has been happening consistently. So, are the microbes eating the nutrients, then the plants eating the microbes? Would i be better off adding the nutrients right before watering so microbes dont eat all the nutrients? Here are my plants at day 44 https://imgur.com/a/DPWKe Can anyone make sense of what is happening in that 15 gallons of Tea? TL/DR; Making Aerated teas and adding nutrients to teas. TDS after 24 hours of brewing dropping from 850 to 130, which is lower than what comes straight out of my tap? |
