Those growers must have some sort of magic, because if a plant is still rooting a container it will run off higher ppms... if you have fed a while same thing... the build up dosent hurt them they are growing in hydro its fine. Its very difficult to get the runoff the same as the rez, alot of wasted water, and its pointless.

Look at it from a factual point, if a plant is eating and changing the solution in the medium, how on earth will you have the run off match the ppm going in... the solution coming out is totally different.

Trust your plants, not other growers. Many say run off but the long time coco growers all say the same thing ship the run off. They disregarded the nutrient manufacturer instructions because those instructions are to encourage more food usage so you buy more theres no actual proof runoff is needed except in flush. I dont even run off my plants growing in perlite and rockwool croutons, no need and they are perfectly fine. I did a test flush and what came out was 3.0 ec. They were the nicest ive ever had veg plants look. Supposedly "low ec is best for ogs" well mine are totally fine with 2.0 going in all day, no run off...
