whats so great about organic nutes anyway?

I am wondering whats all the hype about organic nutes, ok, so the bud taste a little less harsh, so what, I water cure and its smooth anyway, plus I get higher yield...so whats the deal? I dont get why you should switch.

How do u know you get a higher yeild from chemical ferts over a properly mixed organic medium supplemented with quality organic teas or ferts?

I just thought it yields more. Not so you say? Are there any facts about this, comparisions, etc?

My own personal experience. I have grown both chemically and now all organic. My organic plants are much healthier than my chem plants ever were. They just seem like they are getting everything they need. My yeilds are just as good if not better with organics, I never really weigh anything just going by eye on this one.

Once the medium is mixed up, it just plain easier to take care of them. If you have the proper mix your plants will be nice and healthy and disease resistant.

With organics you're really feeding the soil and not directly feeding the plant, the bacteria in the soil break down the nutrients so the plant can actually use them in a form that is natural to the plant.

With organic mixes you can reuse your soil saving $. I get as much of the old roots out as I can mix new amendments and let it sit for at least 3 weeks and it's ready to go again.

There really are quite a few benefits to going organic besides taste. Do some research and you'll find more.

Organic only means that it contains carbon. Plants "see" no difference whether its inorganic chemical salts or bat poop. Bat poop, for example, is broken down into the basic elements phosphorus, a little ammonia nitrogen, etc... in the soil. So, everything taken up by the plant is the same no matter what the source is.

Yes sproutco, your right there is no difference in basic elements once they're broken down to the point the plant can use them whether it's chem or organic.

I meant more natural as in how it's actually done in nature. Natural as in you don't have to throw your soil mix out after 1 grow because it's still loaded with chemical salts. Natural as in there is a thriving micro bacterial and fungal herd alive in the soil helping the plants uptake of nutrients and providing disease resitance that chem ferts do not. Natural as in one little mistake does not burn the shit out of your plants.

Your methods might work great for you but why do you insist on pushing chem ferts in the organic forum?

Once again I apologize to you..... oh great sproutco......for not being more specific in my postings......thank jah you were here to set me straight.

Peace brother,
CH

Also, if you compost, you can take your "spent" soil, then mix it with a bunch of fresh green material, and mulch or broken up sticks and branches and compost in back into pure compost in your backyard. Double or triple the soil mix you put in.

IMHO it all comes down to taste, organic simply tastes better, I yield as well as most hydro setups (about a gram a watt) and my stuff tastes better than ANYTHING I've tasted.
