Outdoors I still run smarties BTW. Indoors my ladies top out around 3-4 feet and it works for me. If you don't want to water daily go bigger with a 10+ gallon pot. If you want to automate with drip you can go smaller. Pros and cons to every style. Don't forget about dialing in your environment, many pieces to the puzzle. Cheers.
I've fought the idea of auto watering for awhile.
Jumped into growing my own medicine head first, learning as I go and such.
I've recently made some changes due to my experiences thus far. Going to be running less lights for sure to free up power for other environmental factors.
My girls have really been thriving as of late. No changes really besides tighter environment control.
For the moment I believe my hemp it's will serve me well, they just need some more feeding throughout the day. So I will accommodate. Got a little giant pump today
These girls have a lot to teach me still.
I appreciate all the input. Glad we have forums like this

I consider automatic watering part of the success though. Coco works best when watered several times a day. Providing the roots are filling the pot well enough.
To set up an irrigation system doesn't take too much power. A large mag drive pump is only 100W or about 0.1A.
Heck yeah, I've givin up the ghost on hand watering. I've got a whole circuit I'm going to devote to my pump and fans now

G `day E

15 Gal Hempy might not make the wet dry cycles the roots like .
Hempy of 2 Gallon can grow a big tree . Just gotta water it often . The wet dry cycle for coco is not as extreme as soil but a drying of some of the water is good . Air enters . Then before it loses too much water . It gets topped up again .
Also over flowing the coco Hempy regularly . Will flush salts . A 15 Gal will need a lotta nutes to over flow . Wastage .

Thanks for sharin

EB .

No point going much bigger than 10 liters in a coco hempy. I water twice daily with 3 liter hempy.

80g blackberry kush

O I like that plant.
Quick question. Where would I start a thread pertaining to the design of my vert flower room? I've got most my gear and half ass framed in but need shit tins of advice. Would like to start a build thread but don't know if it belongs in design or vert forum
